I have no idea why it did this to me... Perhaps it was because the game has taken to disliking me, or maybe I missed a dire warning against starting a game with a certain configuration; but here are the relevant files:

You can't use chemi.grf unless you have at least alpha 55 vcs. TTDXC is notoriously lousy at detecting alphas released by Csaba and Oskar.

You also have to have:
newindustries on
newcargoes on

Either of those will turn moreindustriesperclimate off. If you want the functionality of moreindustries per climate, you'll need paper.grf too (in same post).

You are using such an old version of TTDXC that I can't recall. You should update to latest version to make your life easier.
