Well, if you gromick the florbish, things should start working again.
What did you do just before it crashed? What TTD windows did you have open? Can you post a crashlog and your config files? And, if a certian savegame will cause this reliably, post that too.

If you want anything to be done about it you need to give more info.
- what version are you using, windows or dos
- post your ttdpatch.cfg
- post your newgrf.cfg
- post a savegame, preferably just before such a crash occuers
- and post the crashXXX.txt file

That's a bit odd.
furdude6 wrote:As for the game it seems to only happen in one and its irregular so I dont know exactly when it will occur...

If it only happens in that savegame, then it probably is corrupted.
You could try
SV1fix to fix your savegame, but I doubt it will work.
About your config, you do have moreanimation and the airbuild thingies twice in it.
I suggest you run ttdpatchw.exe -W ttdpatch.cfg to create a new ttdpatch.cfg file.
It also has nice comments in it so you can browse through it with a text editor such as Notepad, to see what each switch is about.

You might want to throw a -!T- in before the -W (that is: ttdpatchw.exe -!T- -W ttdpatch.cfg) so TTDPatch won't start TTD in the process.

Good idea, must keep that in mind.

A crash log should be a notepad file called CRASH0001.txt or something similar. It doens't pop up in the screen, but it will appear in your TTD directory. Whenever TTDP crashes, it will generate a crashlog, except in exceptional circumstances.
Have a good look in your TTD directory (it sounded like you were looking for a crashlog on the screen)

I am encountering odd problems since updating to Ver 55, adding tramtracks and light rail. The main problem is that certain train signals get set to red, (not in all saved games) and hold up all trains using that line. Removing the red signal works to clear the prob, but it goes red again when replaced. Also having program crashes (similar to those mentioned above). Windows says TTDLOADw.OVL has encountered a problem and is closing down. Also, if I disable the Ikar busses and activate the AI3 truck set, I get the windows crash (but no Error message, just shuts down TTDL.)
Should I replace patch ver .55 with an earlier one????. Any help welcome. Cheers, Wayne

Are you using PBS?
Post a savegame that exhibits the red-signal problem, your configs, and a crashlog from the busses thing.

There is no crashlog from the bus thing, but other files are below. I'm not sure on the PBS bit. Cheers, Wayne

walpoo wrote:There is no crashlog from the bus thing
If it crashes, there is a crash log; look for CRASH###.TXT in your TTD folder.
Also, you really need to clean up your newgrfw.cfg; you've got several conflicting GRFs.

by walpoo
Thanks for your patience, I have attached a crashlog file, but the time shown is not when the Ikarbus crash occurred.
I will also ask, is there a site/page where one can go and see what GRFs cause conflicts if & when all are enabled. Most GRF files have a readme file with them, but once installed most people (well me at least) forgets the rules for GRF listing. This seems to be a bigger problem now we are getting such terrific graphics from all the members. Some must go before or after others etc.
Again, thanks for your help, and I will go and "clean up" my GRF CFG file. Take care, Wayne

Here's another crashlog, this one's related to the USSet... it just seems to crash at random points. It happens when I'm running the Canset grf and the USSet grf (The way I'm intending... I hope)

Dan, that crashlog seems to indicate that you haven't got DaleStan's fixed version of the USSet - you can get it from the release thread
here.
