Change a saved game?

I have a good question

I thought that when i started a game that the patch was sat for maximum number of trains. But already in year 2019 i ran out of vehichles. I then went in to the editor and changed it, but it has no effect in the game. Is it only in new games it will work? I hope not, because it is a very good game i have.

Hi Hans and welcome,

You changed it in the config file i presume ?

These are the switches:
ships 240
planes 240
roadvehs 240
trains 240
morevehicles 1

This last one is important and can be changed during a game (I think)

It did not help anything...

But it should work? Is it where in the folders i have the things, that are the problem? It now is like this in the same folder...

Transport tycoonDX.exe
ttdpatch.cfg
ttdpatchw.exe
ttx configurator.exe

And this folder is placed in a folder called Patch for NT, 2k and XP whis is in the main folder Transport Tycoon Deluxe windows

Should it be different?

Hmmm, it should do. :?
transport tycoonDX.exe
I'm assuming this should have been GameGFX.exe. Rename it to GameGFX.exe - if you upgrade your TTDPatch version, it will need to access this.

Try this: run the game with the switch 'verbose on' in the .cfg file, take a printscreen and attach it here !!!
We could see your version and if the game takes the switch or not !!!!!

Alternatively, start TTDPatch (from the command prompt, not the Run dialog or a shortcut) with the following commands:

c: (if TTD is on a different drive, put the letter here)
cd \mps\ttwin95 (if TTD is in a different dir, put the path here)
ttdpatchw.exe -v > c:\ttdinfo.txt

then attach the c:\ttdinfo.txt file here.

[BTW, if you already know about DOS commands, sorry if I'm teaching you to suck eggs. ;)]
