NRM "Super D" runs again!

Just a quick bit of interest. No-one probably cares, but i may's well post it.
The LNWR-built "Super D" 49395 had today pulled it's first train in 50 years.
It doubled with diesel 33102 and pulled a passenger train from Cheddleton to Kingsley & Froghall (Churnet Valley Railway) and back, as a test run, this afternoon.
49395 has just undertaken a massive reconstruction to running order at Crewe works, and is at Churnet Valley for running-in for the next few weeks.
("Super D"s are 0-8-0 heavy goods locomotives, by the way.

)
Pictures coming soon!

How old is that Engine? I'm guessing quite old, because the LNWR company only lasted until 1923.

The first ones of the type were originally built in 1912, and upgraded through several variations, all of which became known as the 'Super D'. The most common was the 'G1' though.
Not sure which type 49395 is though, i'll do some research.
And Crewe works have done a marvellous job of rebuilding it, looks amazing.

I think that loco was on the cover of 'Railway Magazine' when I saw it today in WH Smiths.
