Townsize not displayed.

When I look at all beautifull sreenshots, I can see some people having the townsize in the townname. I know this is a switch in the patch, but I cant seem to get it to work? So my question is how to activate it?

You need the latest alpha patch for that, well some high number anyway.
Get thet here.

And you have to set a miscmod switch, miscmods.displaytownsize on.

Just use notepad instead, much easier anyway.
Open the file ttdpatch.cfg with notepad and search for "miscmods.displaytownsize".
Look if it says on or off (or 0 and 1 if you used the cofigurator)
Then change it to on.
If it isn't in the file at all, just add it.

If you mean Andrex' TTDX Configurator, I think it has a bug in the Miscmods settings. He's missing at least one bit somewhere (or have swapped two), so to activate "display town size in the name" you actually have to check the next item, "don't increase the maximum allowed..."

I haven't investigated deeper, just noticed that the town size switch didn't work from the Configurator, so I edited the config file instead and looked afterwards in Configurator to see which bit was changed.

Ah HA! Now I know the trick!

Have you reported this as a bug in the TTDXC thread? Andrex doesn't do releases often, but he does eventually, and usually fixes bugs.

Actually, no. I thought it was so obvious that it should be fixed in the next release without my reporting it...

Will do.

No. There have been obvious bugs that stayed around for years, until they were pointed out clearly in the thread.
