Oh and...

Is it yet possible to have the same make of trains carrying the liveries of
different companies?

Eg, Company 1 has a yellow chuff-a-chuff(tm), company 2 has a pink
chuff-a-chuff(tm), and company 3 has a green one.

I seem to remember discussions before that said that this was possible, but
you'd have to patient buy a large number of vehicles until you randomly get
the correctly liveried ones you need to make a full train.

Ah no. There´s still no good solution for this.
Eg, Company 1 has a yellow chuff-a-chuff(tm), company 2 has a pink
chuff-a-chuff(tm), and company 3 has a green one.
Or, in the case of the german DB, engines are painted differently w. respect to
their specific service.

Yes, that´d be one possibility. Another one would be to refit vehicles to *the
same* cargo and thus cycling through different appearences. (George uses this
for his "long vehicles" and I´m using this for the canal boats).

But I don´t like this mechanism very much. Moreover, you couldn´t refit a
locomotive at all if it doesn´t have any capacity ...
