Hi,
my saved games from TTO don't show up in the Load Game box.
How can I use them with the new (patched) windows version?
Thanks,
CoKo

Hi, welcome to this board !
Well... I am not the person with the top-most knowledge about this.. But as far as I know there only is a windows version (patch) for TTD.
And savegames from TTO are not compatible with TTD..
so I guess thats your problem...

Hey, that can't be that hard. TTO save games have a well known (?) format, and the new format is even known better - otherwise no editor for it would exist.
Dies anyone know about both formats (structure etc.) I'm willing to find a way to transform 'em on my own.

Hmmm I guess thats pretty hard... I bet even Patchman can't do this..
Both games have so many differences. TTD has so many more features... I dont think its possible... you should make a new game or go back playing TTO on your old 386

So my hillarious games with several trains earning more than 300 million per year are all lost? I always thought importing previous versions with less features = possible.
I think I should change my mind........
sad greetings..

The TTO file format is not well known. A converter from TTO to TTD would be quite hard, Josef has said in the past.

Yesterday i asked it to the pro's
This was the answer of the patchman himself:
No... neither with the latest patch nor any other nor unpatched TTD. They
are totally incompatible.
Converting the savegame formats would be very tough work.
So no one doubts anymore
