No, I am talking about just this game. There was also a Castles II.
Sometimes a Robin Hood like guy showed up in this game, his name was
Robert
Ashley (if my memory serves me well).
I am a big fan of castles in reality.
Imagine a game in which you could build a castle like in a CAD program.
This
is what I would like to make.
Yes, I had a demo of Castles II. Big changes from Castles I, in that you
were in France I think, and there was a lot more emphasis on conquest. But,
the basic principle of building a castle was still there, even if very
heavily toned down.
I remember Robert Ashley, but I can't remember what he was meant to be
doing. Seen as though I have nothing better to do (school holidays) I'll dig
out the disk, and have a look. I often found it was better playing in the
Real World, because you didn't get the Guild of Thieves knocking on your
door every five minutes. And I liked the storyline with the Duke of Norshire
always losing battles to the Picts. I always took the money, rather than the
land.
Never used a CAD program before, so I'd be at a loss to comment on this.
Now we are completely off topic, hehe.
Aha! I'll mark this post with OT
