trkfound(w) parameters?

In some newgrf.cgfs posted I see parameters passed with the track foundations. Can someone please point me to the documentation detailing the parameter options for this .grf file? I can't find any.

Cheers.

At least for the one available from ttdpatch.net, the parameters don't do anything. You can put them there, but they'll make no difference.

Maybe that was different in one of the early test versions and thus people still left them in, I don't remember.

Actually I have a version of trkfoundw.grf, that changes the foundation appearance according to those parameters. I don't remember where I got it, tho.
Actually I was pretty sure, I got it from the ttdpatch site, but I've checked, and no, it does not work with that version, indeed.

So here's how it works: four parameters, each for a climate in the order of temp/arctic/tropic/toyland.
The values of the parameters are:
0 for toyland foundations (those ugly pink ones)
1 for temperate (brownish stones)
2 for arctic (vertical reddish stripes)
4 for tropic (the white uniform ones)

so for example mine is:
trkfoundw.grf 4 2 4 0
this only changes the temperate foundations to white ones

-edit-
since patchman seems to have forgot about it, I'm posting it here. It's the win version only, tho.

@Szappy - I think it was your cfg I saw somewhere. :) Thanks for the explanation.

@Patchman - I wonder why the parameter-passing option was removed from the final/current version? It strikes me as quite a nifty option, but then I might be quite strange. :P Any chance it could be reintroduced, or might it cause problems?

I don't think it was removed, instead someone else added it to their copy. If someone sends me the modified version, I'll be happy to upload it.

Hey, no harm in adding parameter capabilities. The worst that can happen is, people don't use them.

I like the idea - I think the tropical supports look way better than any of the other climate splites anyway. I would have to say that the Temperate ones would look good in the Arctic/Alpine though.

Actually, what I'd like is a somewhat more sophisticated method, including maybe several different types of embankments. Maybe depending on the year built? I mean, you often see terraced embankments now, and in time past you saw wood pilings. Of course there's cement, and brick-arches, and all kinds of other things. That'd be cool.

For some unknown reason, there's *STILL* no DOS grf.

Erm... I think I got the tense wrong there. Make that "was".
