The Mobius Effect....

Post by m0b1u5-0n3 »

Seeing as OTTD only uses the Original TTD trains, I thought I may as well make a grf replacement set, atm I will only be drawing replacements for railway vehicles, but if I find the time I'll start on other things. The main reason behind this idea is that A LOT of sprites have already been used up, so rather than making a new grf, I'll just edit the old ones and post them here as "trg1..." or whatever they need be.

Heres the first installment of the set... it's the new passenger coach and mail van >>>

Looks nice, this is the same kind of idea as the BR Miniset.

You'll just remake the old ones? Good idea, really, would mean OpenTTD working somewhat more on own stuff, rather then loaning from TTD

*cough* no *cough*.... hmmm, born acorn, unless i'm mistaken, those are still using TTD graphics to draw them... i'm making a complete new set, and it's only a grf replacement of the current vehicles, so there's no more (or less) vehicles, basically because of the amount of sprites available, and although the idea of the BR miniset is good, i know that when playing on a slower computer (which is no doubt the reason many people still play TTD) using lots of sprites slows down the game considerably... my set will be straight out new vehicles, i'm not using a single original pixel
