As heard on an ESS AudioDrive 1668 ISA sound card, which is nearly exactly the card I always played TTO on. :)

I have never had problems with Internet Explorer and downloads with that one. When I listen to this, I get happy:). Haven't heard the music in years :(

I think the SNDCodec does that. Or you can use the Decat found here: http://www.ttdpatch.net/chris_becke_ttdlx.html. The stuff you can extract from the TTO's *.cat files propably does nothing for you, I've heard someone got the midi files working with a hex editor. No idea who.

You can try searching for decat like programs here (with google or the forum's own search): http://www.xcomufo.com/forums/index.php There are few, I just can't remember where they are , yes it's not TT but xcom has same type of files as TT.

m3henry, do you happen to have a good reason for digging up a topic that died winter 2005?

To ask a question, by the look of it. Doesn't really hurt in this case.

Re: TTO Theme Song

Post by Qu@rks »

This is how the TTO Song was supposed to sound. However, it sounded different on different soundcards. This was the SB16 version which is the one the TTO sounds were intended for. I remember a friend of mine having a SB Pro card which only supported 8Bit sound and it sounded completely different there...
