[NoBug] - Game too fast

Guys,
I have noticed that the game is too fast with each day passing about every second! When I click the fast forward button, it wizzes by!
Anyway I can slow it down?

Yes.
1) MoSlo, CPUKiller, or similiar.
2) Run in an emulator.
TTD and OTTD have identical game speeds, as was intended.

As DaleStan said, it is supposed to run at this speed. Otherwise it would take you weeks, or even months to complete the game (it ends in 2050).

The speed is fine for a normal-sized map. Any bigger (9x10 or bigger), you'd struggle to cover the whole map if you wanted to, purely because the game-time is too fast.
It's not a bug, just needs balancing.

Pause it?

That is no solution, since you can not build anything when the game is paused. I suggest allowing several speed settings, possibly by turning the fast-forward button into a menu, that allows the user to select the speed setting.
By the way, maybe it's just me, but it feels a lot faster than the original TTD (or TTD for Win32) on the same machine.

it's the same speed, and there is a 'build in pause mode' cheat in the cheat menu (CTRL+ALT+C)

You can't test anything in pause mode. By the time you've finished testing them, the amount of time elapsed could be bigger than you think, especially on big maps.
Sure, you can cheat by changing the date, but something doesn't seem right when you "go back in time".

Does OTTD actually kick you out at 2050? If so, this "feature" isn't, and should be removed, IMO.

F1(unpause), click piece of track to build, F1(pause)
Repeat as needed.
That or use the build when paused cheat as noted above.
Both systems work well, and I use them all the time.

I set up my old pc and installed TTD on there to see if they are the same speed, and the conclusion was - the speeds couldn't be more far apart!
Surely it has to be tweeked in order for the days to pass every 10 seconds instead of every second?

hehe, your old PC can't keep up with the game
If your PC is fast enough a single day is ~2 seconds. It has been so for TTDLX, TTDPatch and is so in OTTD.
