Trains only make choises of track at a double signal.
So just place double signals in front of the station.

Also, you did good, using .png for your screenshot, but you took a screenshot of the entire screen, including your windows stuff, which uses more than 256 colors, and thus the file is still 300kb big.
It's better to set your filetype for screenshots in the options screen to PNG, and then use the ingame screenshot function (Question Mark button -> Screenshot)

Another example of one-way signals confusing new players. But hey, the devs don't seem to notice....

Well, it just doesn't make much sense that multiple two-way signals would mean "choose" and multiple one-way signals would mean "shortest". Its just not logical.
I have a question though, why not have one-way PRE signals act as a two-way ? I mean if you are setting it up as a pre signal you obviously want choice. Or is there another circumstance ?

That's a nice idea.
The map rewrite will completely change the game internals for signals so spending a lot of time on signals now would be poor usage of time
