The small map changes each time, but thats basically it, yeah. Kinda pointless.

No, the difference is the minimap.

EDIT: Born Acorn was fastest than me.

Born Acorn: Isn't that map rather flat for wales? It's distinctly lacking Snowdonia for one thing. :)

Onto the topic of Scenarios. Yay my topic came in useful. Albeit one year later. ;)
And the Scenario that started the thread has been included too (Oceanview).
The comment that came with the map:
Quote:
Oceanview
Very nice idea, also map is varied. However, 9 forests in one place or 3 iron ore mines next to eachother are a bad choice... If this was changed, everything would be fine

Look at Oceanview v2 (first page of thread). It's "only" got 4 forests there.
As to the iron-ore mine together. They are the only three on the map. Therefore if you want to do Steel you HAVE to use them. With Network play they could result in fierce competition.
If you could make comments on that one It'd be helpful. :)

Ever seen the original TTDX map with wales in it? I wanted it to be flatter and less jagged to give fun gameplay of that effect. (also I couldn't make Snowdonia too high or Snowdon wouldn't look that high

Revised version of delta with Indian, Bangladeshi, Baluchistani, and Pakistani names. (I ran out of Indian names... then exhausted the others too!)

Incidentally, it may be possible to create a random Indian name generator. A lot of places end in predictable endings: -abad, -pur, -aram, -anam, -ganj, -ghat, -eshwar, -wara, -gaon, -ipat, -alore, -ahore, -nagar. Quite a variety.

I made the Wild Country map. You're welcome to see it for yourselves on my server "[SWE]Fair play, nice map". Since the map is 128x1024 and the landscape is quite varying, it's hard to show what it's like with a screenshot. Here's one anyway.

Figster - I won't add the scenario right now because of several reasons:
1) I can barely see it is a modified "random land"
2) Were rivers created with a long, straight ruler? No, please make your rivers also varied

richk67 - The map looks much better :) I really like the islands around

Moriarty - I'm sorry, seems I didn't download V2. Also read PM.

Born Acorn - The Wales map looks really much better :) I like it

The real question is. Who wants to tarnish their name by putting it to a toyland scenario? 8)

I think anybody who's prepared to build a decent network in Toyland is pretty hardcore. Kudos to those who can endure it.

Folks, what do you think about "Alpine" Map by Wolf_01 (page 2 of this thread)?

Moriarty: I've just seen Ocean View v2 and I really like it. I like this is mountanous scenario with present seaside. Also the crushed mountain near iron ore mines is nice. I like obstacles :)
