Problems with alpha 41

Hello,

today I installed alpha 41 and wanted to play a bit TTD. Well, I think I didn't actually play but trapped into several bugs/problems... :-(

All mentioned files are in the attached zip-file.

First, I downloaded the new-houses and new-station-graphics. Ok, I quickly noticed that I couldn't use it (at least I did not know how to do so) in an existing game. [Can I in some way?] So I saved the game as a scenario and used "Play scenario" in the main window. The new graphics didn't cause problems, but all trains had an awfully low speed. If I click on the symbol opening the info-window of a train, e.g. train 39, ttd crashes immediately. trp07.sv0 is the scenario-file.

So I choose to not use "Play scenario" and loaded an ordinary game, trp23.sv1. Here, I get a problem with PBS: Why does train 41 wait for the green two-way-signal (42 did the same, until I told it to ignore it...). What is wrong with that station???? Or is it some bug???

(I removed that bridge (you will know which I mean) because I feared it might confuse PBS, it helped nothing)

Thanks for any help,

Wolfgang

wol, in TTD while playing existing game open menu from Tool (Options) and select New Graphics Status (or smth like that) and then click on all red flags you want

as for train speed, well, in existing games with enabled extra train/set graphic trains may be messed

oh and try deleting ttdloadw.ovl and ttdpttxt.dat so there should be no crashes while opening details of a train

as for PBS wait a sec ...
edited: as for PBS ... try to turn off automatic (turn on miscmods.noautopbs... ) and make entering signals (those 2-way) not PBS ones ...

I found another bug, and I would like to know if there is a solution to it. I have the latest alpha patch on XP, and I just noticed I cant build a passenger carrige for trains, because there is no such in the build new train menu. I bought a rival company, and he had those, and could build them in the depot he built before, but now the train would not go from his former tracks to mine. His tracks are mine, but the train I build wont go on it and vice versa...

There seems to be a bug where passenger carriages don't appear in non-electrified depots. Simply electrify the depot (no need to do the whole line, unless you want to) and it should be OK. This will be fixed in January I expect. All sets seem to be affected.
