A Small Graphic Pack thing

Hello

Nothing ambitious, nothing huge, just a small idea

I'm not very good at graphics, but I can hold my own. However I am rather useless at coding. Anyways heres my idea: A Small British Set. Now I know theres a BR set being done but I don't want a HUGE number of trains, i'd just like something to play in the mean time.

Locomotives

LMS

Express - Stanier 7P Princess Royal 4-6-2
Freight - Stanier 8F 2-8-0
Mixed - Hughes 5F 2-6-0 "Crab"
Tank - Fowler 4MT 2-6-4T

LNER

Express - Gresley A4 Class 4-6-2
Freight - Gresley O3 Class 2-8-0
Mixed - Thompson K5 2-6-0
Tank - Thompson L1 2-6-4T

SR

Express - Bulleid Battle of Britain 4-6-2
Mixed - Maunsell U Class 2-6-0
Tank - Maunsell K1 River Class 2-6-4T

GWR

Express - Collett 60xx King Class 4-6-0
Freight - Churchwood 42xx 2-8-0
Mixed - Churchwood 43xx 2-6-0
Tank - Collett 61xx 2-6-4T

BR

Express - Standard Class 7 4-6-2 Brittannia
Freight - (WD) Riddles 2-8-0
Mixed - Standard Class 2 2-6-0
Tank - Standard Class 4 2-6-4T

and of course, a Suburban Passenger+Mail and Mainline Passenger for each service. A Royal Mail TPO would be nice

LMS Suburban
LMS Suburban Mail
LNER Suburban
LNER Suburban Mail
SR Suburban
SR Suburban Mail
GWR Suburban
GWR Suburban Mail
BR Suburban
BR Suburban Mail
LMS Mainline
LNER Mainline
SR Mainline
GWR Mainline
BR Mainline
Royal Mail TPO

Also for the modern stuff, i'd like a Blue + Grey Coaches (Mk IIs), and some Mk IV Intercity Coaches, along with some Class 91s and stuff.

BR Postal Red Carriage
Mk II Blue Grey Carriage
Mk IV Intercity Carriage
Class 91 Intercity 225
Class 90 Postal

The ones i have done/have so far

Stanier 8F 2-8-0
Gresley A4 Class 4-6-2
BR Suburban
BR Suburban Mail
BR Mainline

Mk II Blue Grey Carriage
Mk IV Intercity Carriage
Class 91 Intercity 225

As you can see theres a fair bit to do, and i need your help. Maybe it could be incorporated into the BR set eventually or something. The carriages wouldn't be exacting. The Carriages are essentially copies of one another. NO player colours required.

Thanks

Squire James

Why not just play with the 0.3 prerelease of the BRSet?
Or the USSet or DBXL?

A) BR Set currently has no trains prior to 1965 (last time i checked)
B) Because I'm British and don't want to play with Yank or Jerry Trains :S

There's trains from 1925 in the 0.3 anniversary set.

Just no wagons for them.
A proper release is *planned* for before Xmas, and I'd expect another (smaller, yes) project to take more than a month to do with drawing and NFO coding.

Still Pointless then

It's a test release, and any other set would need wagons drawn anyway, so if they're drawn, then it'd be better to get them in the proper BR Set. There will be a release before Christmas, if Ronstar (coder and some graphic drawer) doesn't pop up before about 2 weeks before xmas, then I'll code and draw some wagons, just so we get a xmas playable version. Obviously if Ron comes back, we'll have a better coded one before xmas, but I don't want to wait another year for a playable version. That was last time he went.

But as Prof Frink said, even a smaller set would take some time to complete.

BTW, I think some of your graphics are in the 0.3 version. Early ac electric IIRC.

Tell you what, I'll make some waggons or something, and see if the BR set would like them.

BTW hat AC Electric, would that be my Blue and White AL1? (Class 81 pre-TOPS)

Yeh, thats the one.
And great, if you want to draw for us, then the wagons we need doing are on the Wiki, link in my sig. On the vehicle list, under first generation, you can claim anything that has a red circle next to it. Then edit the wagons part, and turn the "not.png"s you want to draw into "vol.png"s so they go yellow and no one else draws them. Thtat's the idea anyway.
And when you're done post them in the BR Set thread, or email them to ronnie, his address is in the BR Set download site. Your electric is used as part of the graphics of that site. Take a look at the bottom of the page.
