Mars - Loire Valley version 1

Well, in a recent poll it was stated that people wanted a map in an exotic location, challenging and more deserts type maps. So I give you Mars!

The topography is made from actual Martian topography in the Southeast Loire Valley (website) Map MTM-15/337. Five cities exist on the map in the largest craters to provide protection from meteors. Industries include: Coal, Ore, Steel, Factories, Oil, Chemicals and Refineries. Of course you should also build bullet trains and connect the people of the cities together. 4 AI are set to the highest difficulty. In playtesting I found the AI either gets involved early or never builds anything. A seperate no-AI scenario will be released also.

The scenario is rated challenging. Materials are very far apart and scarce. The extreme changes in elevation of the craters should provide a very interesting challenge. You've got 70 years before the scenario ends and a lot of networks to build. Money is tight. And you can only build Trains and Trams (remember there is very little atmosphere). Good Luck!

Of course this map is screaming for some brilliant coders and modders to make some futuristic cities and some amazing "tube-like" tracks. Not to mention some futuristic vehicles and industries. I really want to make a spaceport and some sort of space shuttles to provide air transport between cities. If you've got the skills and the creativity, email me at: brian.wilgus@mindspring.com.

More an idea for a mod that could be used with this.

Considering the low gravity, meaning no cars or trucks, maybe a mod that turned the streets into tube systems that could have passengers or cargo delivered on tube trains bi directional on a squre so would need to either convert vehicles or trams, a larger version could be used for trains.

But also all train wagons would need to be modded to be covered or goods would be lost to the atmosphere.

Why? There is little atmosphere, but there is still gravity.
