When i try to use the tycoon patch, everything is fine until i start a game, then when i setup stations anywhere, even in the middle of huge cities, i get no cargo on my stations. Absolutelynothing which makes the game basically useless. Any ideas on what the cause of this is and how to fix it?

You have the selectgoods patch turned on. To make goods arrive at the station, you have to fit out a train, then send it to the station - then, and only then, will the appropriate cargoes arrive at the station. Personally, I play the game with this patch turned off, but some people may like it.
