Still experimenting with gardens and to make them suitable to also use with VAST.

Then I came up with this idea .. I've arranged for 4 of the shrubs in the VAST set to go on the slopes like this. Slopes facing SW, SE, NW and NE can make slopes as high as want.

Also made them slope aware but at moment only suitable for 1 slope level as shown here. (Eventually they be suitable for all slopes .. just got some thinking to do first). The problem with the trees I used .. in VAST they change depending on the season, but the trees I did will not change .. they stay green all year round.

Hope tomorrow do some more to the cobble stone pathways.

The cobble stone path ways and the gardens will be added to AuzTownObjects and if all goes well some of it be ready for next weekend.

Here is more samples what happening.

This one have 2 tree types done so far. A set of each of the trees you can have a pathway along the level areas between slopes. This one has 4 types of trees with the brick wall to match those in VAST. They all have the pathway on the level sections between slopes. Hope make another set without the paths eventually. I be re-doing the gardens on slopes to match these trees so all can be used together.

Now I go have a afternoon nap before continuing this project.

Made a set of flower beds to match the shrubs on slopes. So now you can make something like this.

Many of the concrete paths that are in AuzTownObjects there is now a set of cobble stone paths.

So if all goes well some time tomorrow I hope to upload a a updated version of AuzTownObjects.

It should not interfer with previous games as I have not changed any IDs or graphics in previous objects.

1 these do not have gardens attached like the concrete ones have. The gardens can be found in Town Gardens
2 some have choice of Gas/kerosene lights and some have electric lights, or no lights at all
3 seating colours change to a darker brown (stained timber)

* Gardens (Flowers and shrubs are from the VAST Object set).
1 wide garden center of tiles (some with seats).
2 narrow edge of tile some are curved and some with seats .. suitable for going along side of pathways.
3 designed from Civic Park in Newcastle .. flowers on slope.
4 flowers on slope with shrubs to go with 3.
5 flowers on level ground to go with 4 and 5.

6 trees .. these are slope aware and have cobble stone paths on the level sections.
7 Trees .. to go with 6 (but have no pathways.

8 Trees .. slope aware with brick retaining walls.
9 Flowers .. slope aware with brick retaining walls to go with 8.

So hope in the next 24 hours I be able to uploaded it. Only reason I not upload it now is want to make sure all is ok what I done so far.

Can let you try AuzTownObjects with the new additions.

The Cobble Stone Paths and garden not finished the ones shown in previous post are included, but still some more to add at a later date .. hope to add more when get chance.

Also made two sporting fields NRL and AFL. NRL = Nation Rugby League
AFL = Australian Football League.

I forgot to add these slope paths to the Cobble Stone pathways witrh the last upload of AuzTownObjects.

There are 5 types in a multi-select menu. Sorry about that ..

I started a new object set .. it was intended to be added to the AuzTownObjects.

I thought with the old style cobble stone roads, a stone wall around the park would look nice.

To make these fences I needed to steal some stones from Quast65's Town Walls Objects.

But I got carried away and also used some of his buildings and did some renovations to them. And now the stone fence also has guard towers and can be used as outer defense to the main Town Walls. So I going the whole hog .. Quast65 sent me templates to objects not included in his set.
I did 14 new additions so far. These are some of them. So now I making a new object set called TownWallAddOns. (Town Walls Object and Auz Add-Ons)

Hope to upload it tomorrow or day after.

Do you like building on water?

Well, the Town Walls Object set allows you to build those walls and buildings on water, but I felt that could make a few changes.

So I been experimenting by adding some rocks and water splashes.

Much thanks to Quast65 and Meslinjf, I been fiddling around with their graphics.

One set of walls and the towers you can now protect your fleet in the harbor. And this one allows you to surround your Town with water. There is also a paths to get access to your town. Just wouldn't advice crossing these paths during stormy weather as no much protection. Would you like to try .. if you will use these let me know so I can add more towers and other pieces to go with these.

Thanks for the compliments .. glad you like these ideas.

Added a few more objects to the walls on water.

The harbor has a few more towers and if you look carefully at the towers in this image you will see extra harbor protection. If you made some things with the TownWallsAddOns that I upload other day, this new upload might upset some of the walls you already built as I've added a few more items and most of the needed multi-select menus.

Just a few more items hope to add to this set today .. I working on slope walls with paving and also some slope paving and stairs .. some we already have in AuzTownObjects, but a few in this set would be handy.

There a lot more buildings that Quast65 and Meslinjf made for Town Walls Objects but never released. I have a copy of those graphics so eventually hope to add them as well.

Received a PM from "fridaemon" and he found a error with some path ways I done.

I getting bad with my coding lately and keep forgetting to change some things in the codes.

The worse one I make is I forget to tell flat objects to have the foundations when built on slopes, but often forget to include it. Must be getting old

Much thanks to "fridaemon" who helps me test what I make, finding these problems.

Any way here the AuzTownObjects update with (I hope) all those problems fixed.

Because I keep making mistakes in coding is one reason I will not upload to Bananas anymore.

2 posts back I upload the Town Walls Add Ons to go with Town Walls Objects.

I still adding a few things to that set .. these the latest that will be available later in the week.

Changelog:

* Added a set of slope walls that have paving and also stairs.
* Added Cobble Stone Paving on slopes
* Added 1 set of stairs .. there are also a lot more variety of stairs in AuzTownObjects, but thought a set be hand here.
* Added the metal gates .. these are multi-select with 6 items. They have towers with and without a canon. And they have the gates with and without the canon.

Some pixel work to do to some of the gates .. can see yellow pixels on some that I didn't notice until I made that image. You will have to wait till later in week before I upload as still have a few ideas to add to this set .

Here is a bit more for the Town Walls.

But not sure if you would use Inner Walls.

For extra security of you town you might like to add some inner walls so that the AI players will have another set of walls to try and get past to take over your city. EDIT: I pressed wrong button, meant to select preview and selected Submit instead.

Anyway I let you try these new additions and for a few days or more I will work on one of my other projects while decide if any more need to be added to this set.

So enjoy if you like medieval buildings.

Are you into making your own object set?

I made up some templates of 2x2 and 3x3 objects for 32 bit graphics.

Quast65 and I worked on this style of graphics for 8 bit many years ago, and now I seeing if I can convert some of them to 32 bit graphics.

This image is for 3x3 size objects. (2x2 is similar)

I made some benches/seats to go with the sporting section of AuzTownObjects.

There are 2 sets and have multi-select menu with 6 items each.

Hope these images gives an idea what is available. They will go with the baseball and NRL sports as well. Can also be used with City Objects Soccer field and tennis courts.

Any suggestions to other sporting objects let me know and if able to send me a image.

What about items for the Melbourne Formula-1 grand prix circuit?

Those seats are already good for that, but maybe the start/finish line (with the starting lights over the track as an overlapping object).
The start-grid, as an road overlapping object, so that cars can actually drive over it.
Some fencing with advertisements.
Maybe even the pit-stops...

Probably could do something like that .. I have to find the horse race track I did many years ago and add it again to the sets.

Wonder if able make a actual road set? Could be a stand alone road set and add objects with it for pit stops and starting grids. Players could use the cars from Polroad and other sets to race around it.

Fences with advertising would go good as could be used around any of the sporting fields as well as car race track.

When I was searching internet for some sporting field ideas today, found this that would be interesting to make as well. It matches up with your Town Walls. Cheers
