Easily.

It was only in the 14000s for 0.6, and 16000s for 0.7

At this rate it appears to be a rate of (very approximately) 2000 revisions every 6 months right now.

Why don't you just get the trunk for 18000, that would be more fun for you? ;)

As requested a new Windows binary (32 bit), version g843befd2 (based on trunk r18037) which is current at the time of posting.

enjoy ^^ (and I hope I didn't muck anything up building it)

edit: fixed .zip file to contain readme.txt and COPYING
edit 2: removed attachment as this version is ancient by now...

EDIT : Ok I think somethings wrong : ( It keeps crashing at random, so theres no dump :(

Creat, you need to include a COPYING file to distribute binaries. You can find one in the main directory of the source. You can also just use

Code: Select all

./configure && make bundle

Ah yes I'm actually aware of that and just plain old forgot (sorry about that). I re-uploaded a fixed .zip to the post above.

Any idea if you fixed the random crash?

By "fixed" he meant that he added the COPYING file to the zip.

Can I get a savegame of before the crash, please? And crashes should always be reported, even if it's only one.

Idk, its a random crash, it might go for years with out crashing, or a few monthes.

Come on, I'd like to fix it. Just post any save of the game which causes the crash. Finding the crash might be hard even with the savegame, but without it it's impossible. And I guess you want the bug to be fixed, too. So you really should post that savegame here. And are you sure there are no crash logs, crash dumps or crash saves?

No, theres no dumps or logs, Ill be play ing and it will suddenly say "openttd has stopped working" and It shouldn't be that Im on windows 7, its the official release now, so, the old buld petert made a while back that i asked for still works like it should

Well, as long as I don't have anything but "openttd has stopped working" I can't debug the problem and you'll have to live with it in further versions. Mind that it would be very easy for you to post that savegame here and I'd go to great lengths to find the problem as I think crashes in my code are absolutely unacceptable. But it's your choice ...

Could you please just post your most recent savegame so that we can try to fix it.

A new test binary for linux ubuntu 9.10 which I just installed an hour ago. Linux users, please try it. Comments/Questions welcome.

Then please do not call the binary debian-lenny. Primarily because Debian Lenny has libicu38 and Ubuntu libicu40. As a result you can't straightforwardly install and use the binary in Debian Lenny.

Sorry, I'm an absolute noob in Ubuntu, what should the filename be?

Something like cargodist_r18053_ubuntu_karmic_koala_i386.tar.bz2, or maybe it's better to actually make a .deb.

How do I make a .deb? Do I just change the extension name? (Looks at wiki)

Edit: Sorry, I was not aware of (http://wiki.openttd.org/GNU/Linux#Debian_package) when posting.
