im getting slightly confused. The image that Crazy Vaclav put together of the 2 trains on the rails. that was at half the zoomed in amount right?... going on the principle that each square is 12.5m, and estimating the size of the eurostar from images, i rerendered them at these sizes. They seem to fit now with the size of crazy vaclav's coaltrucks, livestock van etc. Ive attached a scribble up of what i think is the scales.....is this right?...
also, does anyone no the link to the new track pieces, and/or where the ground terrain sprites are, in there full zooom, cause on the wiki site, there in half zoom, aint they?...

I think that there has been talk about having two pieces of rail on each tile. So I think that the picture I used is old, and isn't valid anymore. I just scaled my models until they fitted, but I think that the tiles were 25*25 meters when that picture was made.
I am using "think" a lot, as I am really not sure.

I have a question. How do you transport rubber?
Then I wonder if someone could make some cargo? We need iron ore, copper ore and coal for the hoppers. Perhaps also rubber, depending on how it is transported.

rubber comes out as a liquid, and in almost all cases is transported as a liquid. rubber coagulation is generally done at the processing plant, as that is generally what the processing plant is For.
*edit: why ottd uses an apparent hopper is beyond me.

Thank you. Then I guess another tanker is needed.

I noticed some of your previous designs included grain cars with different pumps/valves/tubes on them. these are used to transport grains that give off explosive gasses. often here in farm country we hear of exploding silo's and such during the harvesting months, this is the reason.
in my research I came across more modern train cars that transport rubber under vacuum to forestall the coagulation process, so perhaps you could incorporate that idea. I sadly could find no pictures.

'make some cargo'? not shore what you mean, but ill model some stuff if its needed

Sorry, I wasn't clear enough. I need something to fill the hoppers, but I don't know how to do it myself. And you can add grain to that list of cargos needed.

This was new to me. I didn't even know grain could explode. I made that grain wagon because I liked the look, but I didnt know what all the tubes are for.
I will see if I can find some more information about that vacuum rubber transporter.

rubber's "raw" form is actually latex, that might assist you in finding information. it might also make you realize why it's attempted to be transported liquid, it's not as pure if you try to reliquifiy it. I am finding info that some is transported as blocks or sheets, but the sheets of course wouldnt be used in the same way as the liquid.

Unprocessed rubber, as seen in TTD, is tree sap, and should probably be transported in tankers.
*poke* Hm... I see that the default vehicle looks like a hopper, though.

Yes, exactly. Before, when I was looking for pictures of hoppers, I found some really nice ones showing the cargo (Iron ore, copper ore and so on), but now I can't remember what I searched for to find them. So this is all I have at the moment.

thats a quality refernece image. i cant ever find good images, my searching style must be off. Would the stuff that goes in the hoppers need to have a few stages of full ness, or just full and empty?

I don't know about that. If it is not a lot of extra trouble, I would say go for it.

I think the game bases it on either full or empty, so full.. or empty
edit: then again, a half full wouldnt hurt to at least plan for. I personally probably wouldnt go much further than that however, as you wont gain much.

intermediate graphics wouldnt effect the game play though

it would mandate that all vehicles that show cargo have all of the options, but considering the project will have all of the sources basically, I guess it's not such a problem. I wouldnt however prioritize it, as it should be a simple matter for later on.
