Yes, but that comes with the experimental versions !!!
When you download another alpha , always check the graphics page, it saves a lot of problems
Anyway, we're coming to a stable version and I bet the installment will be very easy

Another thing that ruins the graphics temporarily, is that you have Game A, with a newgrf.txt file. You then alter the newgrf.txt file or somehting like that, and try and play Game A again. The graphics will usually mess up. After a while, the problem should go away.
Just another Suggestion

That has been fixed with alpha 40. The graphics will never look messes up again, not even temporarily.
Alpha 41

by Patchman
Alpha 41 is out, with another new feature and again many, many bugfixes.
Marcin has implemented the Euro currency, turned on via "euro on" or "-Ye". This changes DM, FF and Pt into Euro at the beginning of 2002. Though you can still select these currencies in the game options, all monetary values will be expressed in Euro instead. Note that TTD doesn't have a Euro sign originally, you will need to install it yourself.
To do that, download
euro.zip (6 KB), unzip it into your TTD directory and run the euro.exe file. This will add the Euro sign to your TTD graphics, both for the DOS and the Windows version. If you don't trust the .exe file, you can also use the .grd file together with GRFMerge, from the GRFCodec site, but that's recommended only for people who are familiar with GRFCodec.
In a future version, TTDPatch will probably have this file included so that this step will no longer be necessary, but at the moment it needs to be installed separately.
- fixed bug: newgrf loading was aborted if a file could not be found
- don't show pylon immediately in front of depot
- fixed crash in Windows version if total sprite memory needed > 2 MB
- add error message if more than 8192 sprites in total
- by Csaba: multi-tree-plant feature no longer plants additional trees on a square
- by Marcin: use ttdvar for a couple more variables
- by Marcin: keyboard mapping supports making keys dead except for input fields
- by Marcin: improve descriptions of variables in vars.ah
- by Marcin: support selective saving/loading of extra data
- by Marcin: new feature "euro on" or -Ye changes Deutschmark, French Francs and Pesetas to Euro at the beginning of 2002
- northern bridge heads had too many electric pylons
- fixed bug in el. rails construction window if elrails.grf not loaded (now it displays regular railway instead)
- don't show pylons inside tubular bridge
- I now use Marcin's custom settings when making a source distribution even though I don't use them myself, but people have had good results with them

I have downloadad alpha 41, set the euro switch on, started with DM, changed the year to 2002 and it changes into euro, but I don't see any sign
Then I went to the dos prompt and ran euro.exe, this gives some kind of warning
Prob w/ Euro

Oh Yes!
Crashlog would be nice, but in this case there's no crashlog written. Don't ask me why

You can use the grd-file instead of the exe-file.
Just run this :(you need grmerge.exe from
http://www.ttdpatch.net/grfcodec/grfcodec_0_94.zip)
grfmerge euro.grd trg1.grf for the dos version and
grfmerge euro.grd trg1r.grf for the windows version.
If you are using the windows version, you will get an errormessage. Just ignore this and say yes to the question asked.

Try running it with the .exe, i.e. instead of
run
Rob wrote:If you are using the windows version, you will get an errormessage. Just ignore this and say yes to the question asked.
If you have the Windows version, you can also just copy trg1r.grf to trg1.grf and run euro.exe. Then delete trg1.grf again afterwards.
