I'll eagerly wait for the full release of Sam.. The modern passenger ships looks fine. Kinda' feels weird playing the game in modern era using FISH'es Paddleboat Steam, and the 400 Passenger hovercraft costs a lot.

Using warmed-over sprites from FISH wasn't exactly floating my boat, so I've been improving pixels.
These are derived from FISH, but are now close to 100% repainted.
Steam (1900-ish) and diesel (1950-ish) versions of a standard 540t freighter.
New version - steam, diesel.

Any hope of having any hydrofoils in the set?
At least something like Raketa that can still be found running passenger routes out there:
Practical fast passenger ships are always cool to have.

Yes. My older ships grfs FISH and Squid have Russia/Ukraine and Boeing type hydrofoils. They will reappear in Sam too.
I've been on a Raketa (Meteor type), Vienna to Bratislava. Quite loud, smells of fuel

hydrogen?
Hydrogen fueled vehicles are already on the road in several regions (Asia, North America).

Hydrogen can be added if anyone does an industry set providing it.
They cryo tankers also refit Ammonia already (FIRS).
I suspect that one route for shipping hydrogen fuel long distance is actually to convert it to ammonia using Haber-Bosch process. Probably less explody. There are experiments in shipping hydrogen Australia -> Japan for fuel and chemical industry use, in theory Australia could produce a lot of green hydrogen from solar, if the economics work.
