Can't check your own tutorials?!?
Apparently it falls under the category "games" and is being filtered out by the network administrator. Luckily these forums aren't categorized under "games" and I can still view those. :P

GPL is NOT the same as public domain. While both are freely available to anybody in the public, with GPL you still retain complete copyright and control of the software, whereas in public domain you give up all copyright. With GPL you must offer a copy of the source code. You can distribute that directly, with an executable, or provide a written offer to obtain the software, good for at least three years. Typically these days a download link to the source code is an acceptable substitute for the written offer, so long as that link is valid for at least three years from the last publication. You don't have to make the source code immediately available to the public either, but you must honor any request for the copy. Still, hosting is cheap these days, if not free, so there's no reason to NOT make it immediately available in some form.

Thanks kamnet. Good to have someone who knows more about licensing. :)

as said, i used Purnos Tutorial, but i'm now into recoloring and progressing pretty well. Indeed, just use different brightness leveles of a pixel, darker pixels can so create some "3D" effekt on a 2D sprite (side-view, not isometical).

Thx for the licensing update

Hello.
I want to say that CD 809 is't complete railbus. It is usually connected to another 809 engines or to wagons what looks like it, but don't have own engines. I think it can be used with Multiple Unit Wagon.
(just suggestion)

Thank you for your feedback but wiki proves you wrong... It is clearly classified as a railcar. I'm not saying it maybe doesn't get similar coaches but as an engine "per se", it is a railcar.

Also, this topic is outdated, we have a new set in the making and a new thread here: http://www.tt-forums.net/viewtopic.php? ... &start=780

Please, all discussions should be held there. Thank you!
