Does this development branch support multiplayer?

Registered last night and joined a multiplayer map (I've not parted with any cash yet).

The free multiplayer bit is just free form building, while the paying customers get monsters attacking them in their multiplayer section (from what I've read).

Notch is working really fast these days... I think he made about 3-4 big updates this week (like ladders, signs, doors, dynamic water, buckets, mega-ultra awesome water, level previewer, 3D clouds...)... And there are still two more days in this week :-)

Map visualiser. :D

(Most of this map is underground at the moment. I might start a forest fire today.

Now if you don't mind, I'm going to make a waterslide.

Some people use water as conveyor belts for their fully automated farms. Here is wood farm for example:

And here's link to automatic mob farm:
http://www.minecraftforum.net/viewtopic ... 35&t=14638
At night, mob falls into hole filled with flowing water, then it's automatically moved to mob filter with window to the surface where he'll wait until daylight. When it comes, mob burns and drops funny stuff which can flow through mob filter wherever you want it.

Playing on "Dungeon keeper" server where I had 3 griefers come in and completely wreck the map. As there was no admin on there I gave them some "grief" back :)

BTW, nice screenshots!

That's that big seecret

And smaller seecret is realistic gravity-affected block behavior.

Cart icon looks like a beard. Will play lots tomorrow, after I've helped dad cut the hedge (it being father's day and all!).

Seriously, mine carts and tracks are the best thing since sliced bread, although all browser in OS X are currently being a c*** about running the game. But seriously, s***'s awesome. :D

Not implemented yet, but still awesome... Notice the RCT physics, like lower friction.

lobstarooo, that's me. Looks like the page was deleted though. Also, multiplayer survival looks brilliant. Wish I had time to play atm.

Actually, it's something like glitch. Replacing Creative with Survival testing minecraft.jar file causes Creative multiplayer to act like Survival singleplayer. But it's very buggy. Other players (mostly playing Creative) can't see mobs, they don't hurt them (they cannot die, unless they're on D3 server where are some games like blob survival), and it's pretty hard to prove that you're playing survival (from their point of view, you're just crazy fool running around and shouting "I NEED SHROOMS, GIMME SHROOMS!" or "OMG THERE'S CREEPER ARMY!", but they don't see you falling to the ground when you die). You can "kill" other players too, but they don't notice it. I'm not sure if TNT really works.

I started making Transport Tycoon reskin. Here's what I made so far (quick Paint, so no transparent blocks yet. I'll make them as soon as I'll leave work).

Almost all credit goes to Simon Foster. But there are two blocks drawn originally by PikkaBird (gravel texture stolen from gravel quarry) and OzTransLtd (bedrock texture stolen from North American Roads Set)(funny, isn't it? :D ).
Some early screens:

Minecraft is awesome. I'm having mixed feelings about the upcoming survival multiplayer though. On the other hand it looks like it's going to be awesome but on the other hand (judging by the forums) it looks like it will be nothing but a massive murderfest.

I think it will be murderfest, but Notch will take control over it. It will probably take a very long time.

By the way, TTMC is now available!

Played some today, got far, have loads of diamond and redstone mined and more waiting for me because of a lucky cave. Anyway, thing i learned is most important is to make sure you've got a recognizable HQ thing for distant travels. This works quite well.
