What seems strange is that the price of raising land has been quartered since installing the patch...?

Then why are you posting in the TPPP topic?

He told me to ask here.

Actually, I was going to ask the same question than Yexo. What I said to you was this:
Terkhen wrote:You should ask questions related to TPPP at its own thread (answer me there about this topic). Right now there's no altered patches at TPPP and the ones which were altered where only GUI related. Anything else is not changed at all.
You have stopped asking about TPPP, so your new question does not belong to this thread. Also, In the introduction to TPPP I mention this about bug reports:
Terkhen wrote:If the problem is directly related to one of the patches in TPPP, try to reproduce the problem in a build that only has that patch (usually, patch developers provide them). If you can reproduce it, then the bug is related to that patch.
Anyways I made a quick test and raising land with vanilla trunk and a chunnel build has exactly the same cost. Building a chunnel of the same length costed half of the raising land prize. Check your costs and your build again.

Oh, sorry. I didn't notice that. I'll test it all again later and see how it goes. What costs did you get? Thanks!

I had no feedback about the almost complete savegame compatibility with trunk "feature". Is this actually helpful or would you prefer if TPPP returned to its old policy of being only compatible with previous versions (if possible)?

What will the PROs and CONs

Be for chaning your mind on the save compatible

I realy like to be able to load in old trunk games in to this

But then be able to carry this game on in to V06+ and so on

I dont think many players would mind not being able to load there saves from TPPP back in to trunk

Terkhen would you be able to do this

You will still be able to load old trunk savegames to TPPP. It is just that you won't be able to send them back to trunk.

Maybe we want to try out another patchpack wich can load a savegame from trunk.

I think it is a good feature. But so it isn“t posible to add all patches. Perhaps there are nice ones wich are not compatible.

I'm for 'Keep, if possible, compatibility with previous TPPPs and don't care about the trunk'

Well, if you care about trunk, it is automatically compatible with future TPPPs. ;-)

Personally I don't play games long enough to span between versions: I started this debate because this issue is not very important to my way of playing the game (and I can always add a few more patches to my copy if I want to).

There's a few pros of savegame compatibility with trunk that most posters have been overlooking, though. You can share your savegames with anyone without forcing them to download TPPP, you can create scenarios using it without having to download a vanilla trunk, and so on.

The binary provided should work in all windows platforms from XP onwards (never tested Windows 2000)... Or your problem is that the binary is compressed in rar?

Edit: Corrected

... excluding everything from before Windows 2000 (Windows 95, 98, ME, NT4). If the build is made with MSVC is cannot work in all Windows platforms. If it is made with GCC and compatible with Windows 95, etc. it does not support Unicode filenames and/or Unicode text input.

Based on the fact that the build generates crash reports it must be build with MSVC, meaning win9x isn't supported.
