Re: 32bpp mega pack v20081101
No should I do that?
I installed it and used it, but its still not 32bpp... Its just the new 8bpp style what the opengfx should do. So this works fine...

Re: 32bpp mega pack v20081101
To use the pack, you have to get the original TTD graphics. The pack is at the moment in conflict with openGFX pack. It should be fixed in next OpenTTD32 releases.
Re: 32bpp mega pack v20081101
I have a original TTD CD, DOS Version, and i installed openttd normally, with the graphics from the CD...

Re: 32bpp mega pack v20081101
he means, in options, make sure for the graphics set it says "Original_Windows" also, if you'r using the dos graphics then it might not work, you should be using the windows grfs.Ragnarok wrote:I have a original TTD CD, DOS Version, and i installed openttd normally, with the graphics from the CD...

Re: 32bpp mega pack v20081101
Hi, sorry to ask a dumb question, does the 32 bit project work on OSX
Re: 32bpp mega pack v20081101
Actually, it is a totaly dumb question, because it is precised on the openttd wiki!
OpenTTD32(Extra Zoom) is not officialy supported at the moment. There's two solution for the 32bit extra zoom patch :
- You have to apply the patch yourself & compile the code
- Or use the win32 binary (on OSX may be you could use it with wine)
Thanks for reading the wiki next time.

Re: 32bpp mega pack v20081101
Having trawled this section quite extensively, why is it that very few of the comprehensive list of 32bpp graphics (when downloaded indivually or as a pack) actually work in my OpenTTD 0.7.1 or in a recent nightly build? I have attempted to add them to the OpenTTD.cfg with no success and to date only a power plant and oil rig actually appear in the game; neither of these requires reference in the config file however.

1) You dont have to add them to the config, make sure the tar files are in your data fodlerQuince99 wrote:Having trawled this section quite extensively, why is it that very few of the comprehensive list of 32bpp graphics (when downloaded indivually or as a pack) actually work in my OpenTTD 0.7.1 or in a recent nightly build? 2) use the original windows\dos graphics, OPEN GFX will have higher priority over 32bpp graphics

Re: 32bpp mega pack v20081101
Most of them are made for the extra zoom levels patch and simply don't have the filenames set in a way that OTTD reads by default, the extra zoom levels patch reads files that are affixed with _zx.Quince99 wrote:Having trawled this section quite extensively, why is it that very few of the comprehensive list of 32bpp graphics (when downloaded indivually or as a pack) actually work in my OpenTTD 0.7.1 or in a recent nightly build? To be more technical, the ones that work with standard OTTD have one file named <whaveterspritenumber>.png, whereas most of the the packs have the files labelled <whaveterspritenumber>_z0.png, <whaveterspritenumber>_z1.png, <whaveterspritenumber>_z2.png etc and don't have a <whaveterspritenumber>.png, however as far as I know <whaveterspritenumber>_z2.png can be renamed or copied to <whaveterspritenumber>.png and it should work fine.
Many of them just don't look right at the default zoom levels due to the amount of detail they include, I assume that coupled with the extra file size is probably why people don't release them with support for both.
I am mostly sure this is correct but If anyone would like to correct me please do.
Re: 32bpp mega pack v20081101
These responses are very informative - thank you for replying. The issue here appears to be with the further zoom levels which I do not seem to possess (or are de-activated) in my versions of OpenTTD.
In the 32bpp steel mill by ade, for example, I can access the PNG sprite files from the TAR file and view them. What then proves infuriating is that there is no way that they will appear in the game; I am presuming that this is down to the levels of zoom mentioned above.

Re: 32bpp mega pack v20081101
OMG! I just started getting into 32 bit graphics and just WOAH! Man people need to work more on getting the other stuff replaced, and maybe also make 32bit graphic replacements for things like NARS 2 Trains
