Hi Tiberius,

Oops. Sorry for that ... but why would you like to compile an old-version ?
Fortunately those problems can be easily solved:
1. remove your original ottdres.rc and rev.cpp, since the patch file creates them with appropriate version strings (r13810M-TibPP)
2. Daylength patch has changed the language string to reflect time-of-the-day so that it would display a more meaningful timetable entry when using a long daylength (e.g. 3 day(s) 04:35 after patched). Those language files without patch should display only 'days' as usual ...
3. replace 0 after the ? by OverflowSafeInt64(0) and GCC should happy with it. I'll update the New Graphs patch later as well, make it compatible with new player-pool (?) in the trunk.

I believe he's compiling it for 13810 because that's what you said the patch is for in the topic title.

Hi again,

Indeed. Now I am confused. Is it for another version? Or where? Even the patch file name in the first post bears 13810 in its name...
While we're at versions, I'd like a link to the old r13704 patch file, too

. Got a request to test something with that (see
IS thread).
Thanks,

No, I'm fairly certain it's 13810, as that's what the precompiled Windows binary suggests.

So far so good. Having a blast with it. Nice to have both sound channels again. Daylength absolutely rocks, and PBS really rolls those trains now that (with daylength=3) the industries produce for me. Haven't gotten into order jumping or any of the other goodies yet.

I did a fresh checkout of r13810 and applied the patch, nothing strange happened ...
Perhaps you can try it on a fresh checkout ?
And ... I didn't preserve old versions of the patch, sorry about that

Tried to load savegames from r13699, but the game always crashed ("broken savegame - invalid chunk file"). Now the point is that i don't think it has anything to do with YAPP, because i could load older scenarios and savegames - which were also without YAPP - without any problems.
The game also failed to load r13699 scenarios where there were no railways or signals yet - so could this be caused by YAPP?

I see the AI is fix which is what i was talking about in the previous versions. How ever it isn't still completely solved. The AI the first one doesn't start immediately and tends to start in January 2009 and then the rest follow. Also some that AI is still unnamed. How ever if you go into there player mode and build there office they will start to build.

I saw that YAPP v9 is out, can you include it into the next release?

Hey, it loads saves from 2.4! Sweet!
D'oh! I can't believe I have had "Distant Join Stations" right in front of me and not used it!!!! All the times I wanted to add a drive-through bus stop to a rail station on the street one tile away, or add another loading platform on the other side of an industry. . . Thanks to all concerned!!!

I can't download the Win32 binaries for some reason. Says the ZIP's invalid.
And I'm running Vista without any way to compile it myself. Damn.

WinRAR says it's just fine. Check that the download didn't get cut off and don't use Windows' ZIP file handling.

Certainly odd, considering this is the single ZIP that's ever done so to me in the several years Windows has had integrated ZIP handling. WinRAR worked fine.
And 2.4 worked fine in Windows, too.

It seems, that the Station-bug from RCPP was carried to the TibPP. Now, the AI build stations, but no train runs between them...

My buddy and i both have the 0.6.1 stable version of OTTD and we installed this patch. It works with both of us in singleplayer. But when i try to join servers at every server it says: Version mismatch. Also the server of my buddy doesn't even show up in the list anymore. When i try to connect by IP it says the server refused the request (or something similar).
Is this patch singleplayer only? Or how do we get it to work in multiplayer?

I have never used the patch, but in general, Internet servers require that you run exactly the same version that they do. You cannot have additional patches installed.

This patch is also meant to be patched against revision 13810, which 0.6.1 is nowhere close to.

Jay => r13810 is a dev version, get it with SVN. (try tortoiseSVN if you run Windows)
Flip => Uninstall Norton and get him a true anti-virus
Tib ->
still have this bug on a dedicated server for multiplayer.
Code: Select all
openttd: /srv/r13810-HFR_src/src/tile_map.h:135: Owner GetTileOwner(TileIndex): Assertion `!IsTileType(tile, MP_HOUSE)' failed.
i don't know which patch mod this file, so please report this bug to the creator of the patch corresponding.
got this bug since v2.1
