Change of plans.
Re-coding the security guard huts so can me used across multiple tracks something like in these images.

- waypoint gates 6.png (60.52 KiB) Viewed 9727 times

- waypoint gates 7.png (46.56 KiB) Viewed 9727 times
I think I will move the huts to the middle (island) areas and where the huts are now can be pedestrian pathways.
Something like this.

- waypoint gates 8.png (7.5 KiB) Viewed 9727 times
Could be 3 sets. 1 set for those who like trains to travel on left side, those who travel on right side, and a set for bi-directional.
Not sure how long this will take me. Will work on them as time permits today and next chance will not be till Wednesday.

Glad you're back with railway pieces

And these waypoints are hilarious
Do you code them in NFO? Or is there any NML template which is usuable?

Subject: Finally able to upload this version.
Unfortunately we can not add a description to Waypoint items to explain what they do.
So hope I can explain it here.
* There are all animated.
* The gates and lights will change on the approach of a train.
* If you place a Path Signal a few tiles before these gates then they will operate sooner. But if there is no signal they do not change till a train reached the waypoint.
* These are the last 4 I did.

- waypoint gates 11.png (74.64 KiB) Viewed 9373 times
* The first 2 designed for 2 tracks and the signals are arrange so have a arrival road and a departure road.

- waypoint gates 12.png (32.51 KiB) Viewed 9373 times
* the next 2 can be used in multiple tracks. 1 is for arrivals and the other for departures like in this image.
I have a few more ideas for some more, but they will have to wait as got some other projects still need doing.
Enjoy

Added a cherry picker to fix the overhead wires.

It path aware when a train approachers.
It works nicer is have a path signal several tiles before it.

The graphics for this set are all available under the GPL, right? Is there a link to the repository anywhere?

Yep .. I not realised I had not uploaded the source to them. Will start doing that now.
If you want any templates let me know. At moment all my templates saved for Corel but can convert to another format if like.

Thank you so much! I would also suggest linking to this page from the OP, to make it easier for other people to find. Other than that, this is extremely helpful for me - I was considering making a few changes to the set so it would be easier to lay out large stations without having to build them piece-by-piece.

The security waypoints aren't path aware for me, though the little van that repairs the catenary is.
I've tried Security Waypoints V1 and V2.

I tested the gates and have no problem.
With anything that is animated I use a path signal several tiles before the animated station or waypoint so they operate before a train gets there. Level Crossing work more athenic that way.
When not using a sigal they open when train starting to pass through them.
Unable to try your saved games as say your using a newer version so wonder if what ever you using that is newer is preventing them from working.

Hi, thanks for replying! This may be an issue in the pre-release version of OpenTTD 15.0 and I've reported it there.
