well probably no, because el.rails are just normal tracks but slighty tweaked (added pylons and wires, it is not replacing graphic)Raichase wrote:Is it possible (If someone made the graphics) to have a different depot for electric track (like a modern day depot), with the old style depot for non-electric track? I imagine we can, as the monorail track has it's own depot...
That's exactly right. The biggest problem with the "difficult" or "impossible" changes is that you can't do this. You either have to change hundreds of little places, (and then worry about the two that you missed), or thousands of places. It's just not feasible to either try and find them all, and then make sure that your changes work well with each of them.Hyronymus wrote:As far as I'm aware it indeed replaces bits of the code by enhanced code, all within the 'natural' limits of TTD.Petae wrote:so the patch only alters parts of code ???

How is this relevant?Stylesjl wrote:thats a very good way to explain it. I got one for renaming file extensions. It is like putting a new cover over a different book like putting HP on top of a Sim City Manual. The manual does not Become Harry Potter
Raichase wrote:Thanks Josef, that makes it really easy to understand. So, If we apply that to the idea of underground stations, then it is impossible, because it is essentially a "new" type of tunnel (ie "Gandalf Potter")

I think the industry limit for the map is fixed (can't be changed). Why not stop at industrys on slopes? Why not have HQ's, radio thingies, lighthouses etc on slopes? If it is possible for something like roads and stations, why not large buildings?Stylesjl wrote:What About umm incresing the industrie limit and having industries on slopes
