Maybe off - topic, only a short question:
The loadallgraphics switch, should it be on or off in the latest patches? I remember there was something with it....

Well, i'm a part-time Tycoon nerd... I've been playing it for years, but i don't have enough time to check up on this site to follow all the new features, and i know that it's much to ask, but i was wondering whether you could make a sticky thread where you announced whenever you released a new beta - eventually just copy & paste from this thread, so less dedicated users that doesn't check these threads more than weekly would be able to catch up...
On a second notice, i see that
http://www.ttdpatch.com is down... Just thought you might want to know...
oh and...

the TTD-patch ppl - You are the greatest

Hi,
This topic was supposed to do that, but indeed they get drowned by replies
The ttdpatch mailinglist is another possibility, but then you will get other e-mails too
You can always check on his site under source menu, less trouble, only 2 clicks a day
And when it's down like now, just hope it's not for long

I think it might be a good idea to have a sticky topic with announcements only, like for the new graphics. It would have to be locked too, I guess, so I guess one of the moderators would have to copy everything there. Then discussion would happen here, and it doesn't have to be a sticky topic.
About the patch site, I'm not sure what's wrong. The webhosting service seems to have some problems, the helpdesk isn't working either. So I guess we'll have to wait it out for now.

Excellent idea, I will try to do it like the new graphics topic
Unsticky this one, discussion will keep it alive anyway
Well, that's a good helpdesk you have there

and yesterday to ...
TO PATCH DEVELOPERS:
there are 'glitches' when someone realease GRF file with his vehicles that are already in other GRF's (MB) ... am I right ?? (Dinges ... you should tell something) .. so my suggestion is to make avabile that GRF files that engines which are in lower files in newgrf[w].txt are not putted into game (if there were already the same engines replace before, in upper file)

new version from Marcin:
(based on alpha 38 !!)
- Bug fixed: when vehicles are deleted due to vehicle array size reduction, their schedules are deleted too (so that they don't clobber the precious little schedule heap space)
- Bug fixed: ship refit list is no longer empty if "newships off" is used but other new graphics are present (note: the bug may persist in older savegames if 'saveextradata' is on)
- Bug fixed: the C key (center) no longer works the same as Z (center & zoom) with 'morehotkeys on'
- TTD bug fixed: backspace key used to trigger a 'replay' of the key buffer occasionally in the Windows version (fix active if 'generalfixes' or 'win2k' is on)
- TTD bug fixed: now screenshot key combinations no longer cause inadvertent multiple screenshots in DOS versions, too
- Enhanced keyboard handler in the DOS version that allows for almost arbitrary mapping of key combinations to characters; just put ttdpatch.kbd in the TTDPatch directory to enable it. The format is described in the file kbd.txt in the keyboard remapping sample package.
If the enhanced keyboard handler is active, the "Lock" keys toggle the keyboard LED indicators as well, and (as a side effect) the Insert and Home keys no longer emulate mouse buttons unless you hold down the (left or right) Alt key. Note that you can enable the enhanced keyboard handler without remapping any keys -- just create an empty file ttdpatch.kbd in the TTDPatch directory.
- Ported the DOS version to Open Watcom
- Bug fixed: TTDPatch tried to display a localized "press any key" message even if an error occurred before language data had been loaded
- Bug fixed: "-a -W ttdpatch.cfg" was passed to a program started via the c debug flag if there was no f- flag, no arguments to the program and no ttdpatch.cfg was found
- New debug flag, L+ to load language data from language.dat instead of the executable
- New debug flag, I- to disable programming of the keyboard indicators (the LEDs) in the enhanced keyboard handler (in case it doesn't work well)

Ah, IE was retrieving cached pages - I tried to go to a non-cached page, and sure enough, it failed. I was going to say here that I can't get to it through my webproxy either (on the same server as tt-forums.net).

You should install a decent browser.
