Im trying to play as realistaclly as possible, these run in sets of 8 in real life, although 16 is possible...
Heres 3 pictures not related o each other...
Picture 1: Two ICE pass each other next to the junction at Stralsfurt. One heading for Nestheim, the other for Frankfurt.
Picture 2: The power station station

has been redesgined again, there is a new coal seem found at a place near Osnastadt. Trains of hoppers run under the town of Kiesheim then round to the entrance of the power station.
Picture 3: The Freidorf Span, a RegioExpress and an Inter-City pass each other on the twin bridges. The RegioExpress stops at all stations whilst the Inter-City stops at all stations minus Hersberg, the reason for this is the large size of all the other cities and the small size of Hersberg.

Sorry, couldnt resist...
Another 3 shots:
Picture 1: Wooooah a new sawmill is being built right next to the power station, our benefactor gladly funded it once he saw the oppertunity for lots of DM! Wood comes from up north near Herzdorf.
Picture 2: And... the first wood train arrives complete with 475 tonnes of wood!
Picture 3: My personal favourite... This is a damned busy screenie. The city of Herzdorf has grown massively. From a measly 500 to a cool 3000! Herzdorf benefits from all 4 types of transport, with them all being visible in this screen. The hovercarft provides a 15min service from the docks to the stadium on the west side of town. Aircraft depart and arrive regularly, they come from lots of destinations across the whole map, including the Nestheim ICE complex! Buses provide a cheap and quick way of getting around intra-city, with buses to the docks, the stadium, the suburbs, the lakeside and the Hauptbahnhof. Lastly, the rail system. The Hauptbahnhof has undergone a radical redesign, the tracks above the new style throat still lead up to the depot. The centre 4 tracks have been split instead of the junction further up the track which used to cause chaos. Lastly, the tracks on the bottom are the new S-Bahn line, the first of its kind. It runs from the Hbf to the South and then onto the town of Wertbrucken. In the station, are 4 trains, one of its busiest moments. There is a goods train with packaged goods from the sawmill. A RegioExpress heading to Offenheim and then onto Kiesheim, whilst another RegioExpress has just arrived from Munchen. Lastly, the top train is an S-Bahn train from Wertbrucken. Wheew!

Nice pics Smudge!
Here are some more random screens from my game:
Picture 1: The newly expanded station of Offenheim really needed it; often all 4 tracks are in use at once as seen here. The station is served by Inter-Regios, RegioExpress's and Regios, most come from Herzdorf and either go to Nestheim or Kiesheim. The city has grown from a tiny little village of no more than 500 to a sprawling metropolis, bigger than Herzdorf, of nearly 25000!
Picture 2: Speaking of extensions, Herzdorf Hbf also got a 2 platform extension, the reason for this being the closing down of the local iron ore mine after workers left on strike and never came back! The station was therefore extended with the immdeiate approval of the local council. The station is currently served by a mammoth 32 trains, ranging from S-Bahn and Regio services to Goods and I.C.E. services. The 4 tracks were hardly able to cope. Action had to be taken and it cam at thankfully the right time!
Picture 3: Just after the aprroach roads of Herzdorf Hbf, the line splits as seen earlier, the lines to Nestheim, Offenheim and Kiesheim all leave in the same direction, straight after the split is the beggining of Project Stausenbecker, named after the recently deceased mayor of Herzdorf, who was a great asset to the expansion of Herzdorf Transport. The project is expected to cost DM3,000,000,000, an awful lot, but it is another dedicated high speed line that will connect Herzdorf and Frankfurt with the until now only frequently or not at all serviced towns and cities of Fahrberg, Hamdorf and Korheim. These all have stations with increased platform length, allowing trains of up to 16 cars in length. Also in the bag soon is a new I.C.E station at Herzdorf, and once completed as part of this new project, the exisitng I.C.E trains that go to Bremen will go to the specialised station at Herzdorf instead of the regular one which will stay for normal traffic plus cargo.

Why? Stories are fun

Sorry, why should one not post pictures of games?
Isnt the name of the thread something along the lines of 'Pictures of your game'?
Have you seen the thread similar to this in the TTD forum? There are over 300 odd pages of pictures and stories!
Why should i stop posting?
Thanks

jamesvassie, The pictures are fine, but even in the ttd screenshot topic they don't post more than 6 or so pictures of any game, or space them out over a period of weeks.
In a way, you're flooding this topic.

Go find one of Raichase's stories in the TTD pics thread.
Easily more than 6 pics in one go.

Smudge, that city looks like it has a plan... and to have 4 stations in it as well... nice

I agree with Prof. Frink, the point is that no one else is posting anything, only a couple. This is a screenshots thread after all!!!
Im not trying to stop other people posting their screenies so if they want to, go ahead!!! I will NOT bite your head off!

Something just occoured to me. Why does OTTD need a separate screenshots thread anyway? TTDPatch users quite happily use the thread in the Transport Tycoon Deluxe forum.

Should we merge the topics then and say as a rule that you have to mention which game they are from???

Seems to me that the source game should be (a) relatively obvious, and (2) not important. But that's just me.

I just suggested it because there will always be people who'll say what game was that pic from? Or something like that!

Well, when people post OpenTTD shots in the TTD forum, some users complain at time, but I've always said that it's allowed...

Yeah, i think that there should just be one universal screenshots thread.
What do you think orudge?
