I was asked to review an article on TTDP for Virtual Railroader written by tt-forums' own ktraylor. The article had only USSet images in it, so I went hunting through this thread for some better (and more varied) shots showing more than old USSet stuff and default stations and buildings. I wanted to show some of the sets that were closest to completion.

I have some screens here from Rob, Marshy, krtaylor, Purno, The Irish and Raichase (I apologize if I left anyone out). The purpose of the article is to show people what can be done, and I believe these screenies are much better than the ones originally submitted.

If anyone doesn't want their screenshot included, please post here in the next day or two (The article goes out on the 15th). Basically the article will bring more people (and perhaps more artists and coders) to TTDP :D

Nice. :D
I have no problem you using my screenshots.
That's why I made them : for people to see them. :P

Here I have an updated version of that screen, with irregular stations in action.

Hey Dan,

No problem. Feel free to use any of my screenies for whatever. Let me know which issue this article will be on, I will try to get a copy. If you need any more screenies of the canadian set for other purposes, let me know. I'm always glad to help.

Dan: You're welcome to use any of my screenshots. However, you may beifit from using a newer one than that one (it's quite old). If you want me to make something up specifically for you, you only have to say the word :)).

Where can you get the UK trainset from?

Try searching in the TTDPatch Graphics forum. There's two of them, both in development; one which uses company colors, and one which uses real colors.

Mr. Dan Mack;

Excellent way to show others what a super bunch of TTD fans can do as a team, here on TT-Forums!
Happy to see you get this chance to do what you do, in the suberb way you do it, Sir. And thanks
to all you who've helped to make this article, on TTDP for Virtual Railroader, possible.

Always,
Jim Powers

A couple of pictures of Warsaw in 1965 from my Poland scenario. I'm using the DBSetXL - but restricting myself to the diesel locos only. 8)

HaroldV you could get even more houses in that city if you took out every other cross street, to make longer rectangles between roads

That last screenshot is nice, save for the terribly ugly bridges.

EDIT:

@ Rob,

That "diagonal" irregular station in Clipboard.png is pure genius!

Ah, thank you. I've never quite figured out the best layout for building growth. Although, currently (1975 in-game) more buildings are the last thing Warsaw needs, as the main station is overflowing with passengers (it needs a redesign :( ).

The old-fashioned signs help my poor old-fashioned eyesight. ;)

Alas, such is the price paid for wishing to use the US roadset without roading style mismatches on bridges. Although, the retro look is actually growing on me.

Thanks for the comments everyone. I am looking to further tweaks to the scenario map, and would welcome feedback in the "saved games and scenarios" thread if anyone wishes to try it out. (Link in picture post above.)

Interesting.

** Looks blankly **

Um, if all platforms are occupied, does the next train arriving automatically use the "depot line" (the forced servicing one) as an overflow siding?

Judging by the signals I'd say it does, yes.
