And very useful it will be tooThe point of the parameter is if you want to use the wagons from this grf with another train grf.

Oh yes, that. So, for example, UKRS2 can be used to supplement a trainset such as the ToE-generic or the Tropic Refurbishment set with a nice selection of ECS/FIRS compatible wagons, without the unwanted UK locomotives getting in the way. It seems the "Small selection" of locomotives goes well with the Tropic set, as it really fills some gaps (combined with the normal wagon set to give it ECS/FIRS compatibility)PikkaBird wrote: The above is not a bug; it's an OpenTTD feature that there will be no wagons available if there are no locomotives available. how does the single livery parameter work?? is it done with a variable or just what year you start at??PikkaBird wrote:Public Beta 0.1.0 is attached below.Bananamen, any idea why this file will not upload to bananas? (" Unexpected error while uploading.").
This update is mostly behind-the-scenes work on updating to GRFv8, and adding a number of new parameters which I hope people will play around with and report bugs with. There are a few new vehicles added too; it's getting very close to being ready for a 1.0 RC!
28/02/12 - pb 0.1.0:Because of the new parameter settings, and because one vehicle (the Metro Cammell DMU) is now coded very differently, you will need to manually re-activate the GRF if you want to use it in an existing game.
- Updated to GRF v8.
- Added single livery parameter.
- Added locomotive and wagon selection parameters, for players who want a smaller (or larger) set of vehicles.
- Recoded the Metro Cammell DMU as a normal multiple unit.
- Added 0-6-0 Freight and 4-4-0 Shire, BR Class 321 and BR Class 325, and BR Type HA.
- Added the EE GT3, GWR Railmotor, NER EE1 and NER EF1 from the add-on grf.
As always see the wiki for more detailed information. Enjoy!
There is one selected livery for each vehicle (for example, the HST will always appear in the early InterCity livery).Hitperson wrote:how does the single livery parameter work?? is it done with a variable or just what year you start at??

Because this version is incompatible with the earlier alphas (due to the new parameters and the recoding of one MU), you'll have to manually replace the old GRF with this one in your grf list; it won't automatically update to the newer one like usual.jonnie47 wrote:i cant seem to find the new locos/units in game? i am running version 1.2.0 any ideas?
Thanks
Got the UK track set in your newgrf list? I haven't checked, but I think I need it to make the third rail engines appear in-game (this might be 100% wrong btw).jonnie47 wrote:updates great. still no luck with the class 70, i did a fresh install from scratch. no grfs apart from the new ukrs, any ideas?
When Rubidium fixes it so the upload works.Morgs wrote:I would like to ask when can I get the updated version from the Content Download section?
I was actually thinking of doing a 390, I think it would be tricky to do justice to the shape which is why I've not drawn thus far and would rather see a better artist have a go at it (if we have any volunteers)! Anyway, this is talk for the additional content thread, we should continue therealistairgrew wrote:Thank you Pikabird and all the other contributors for the latest release, I thoroughly look forward to playing with the updated set
I was wondering if anyone had thought of making a class 390 or a class 350/450/360/desiro city to give a little more selection in the 2000s
It is fictional and will probably be a replacement for the Class 92, a Overhead and 3rd Rail Electric Loco.Lillymon wrote:Also the 'Bidwell Tripworker'. Not sure what that is. I'm guessing it's fictional but I'm wondering what gap it fills that isn't already filled.
