Sorry for bumping.

I have a suggestion for CC of the ships. Maybe the hatch covers should be CC as well? Perhaps individually? Then a player could choose to have his company color on the hatch covers and the funnel in any color they prefer (usually red or yellow).

In older times hatches covers were usually made of wooden segments sealed with a tarpauline on top (that is what the greenish surface is meant to represent, could be also greyish or brownish but CC wouldn´t really look convincing) - modern covers are made of steel and automatically folded or slid away, so why not ...

Not sure if you are aware that those green/blue colors here are actually the two CC - so you could already do that.
I would pretty much like to see a kind of livery to choose (just like NARS)

Aye... Though I think it would keep more with the traditional OTTD look to have the hatch covers in CC. Easier to spot at first glance than the stacks too.

Andy, I've been reading the devzone page and I see you closed an issue with steam and diesel era's. Does this solve the appearance of diesel-powered ships in 1870? Because aside from that I really love floating your boats.

I have stolen pikka's 10CC concept, but mine is 30CC. Which is 3x better in my view, no? Or somewhat missing the point. Anyway, here's some purple ships.

With a bit more looking at those 30CC ships, I don't see any early (1870-?) alternatives to the Altamira, nor something equivalent to the current Rockall (general-purpose copy of the Eddystone in that pic) or an early alternative to that?

Or are those some of the spaces currently occupied by small pink fishing boats?

As long as all those delicious steamers, tugs, barges etc that are shown on the previous pages end up in there, I'm a happy camper!

They will deffinately rekindle my interest in early shipping ingame.
