What's wrong? :?
Did you build new signals, because the already build signals won't change.

Didn't you know that? also rails over roads don't matter to TTD

My problem was the ttdpatch.cfg file entries, you can download TTDPatch starter, and make a new ttdpatch.cfg file, this wille hopefully solve the problem.

There is a minor glitch in the semaphores
Windows alpha 36 version
You see the vertical white line ?

Please, I'm just reporting it, it doesn't bother me that much

Michael already sent me an updated version; I'll post it when alpha ... erm, what number am I at now? Anyway, when the next alpha comes out

However, what bothers me a bit is that the signals are on the wrong side of the track in your picture. They're the continental semaphores, which only work on the right side of the track. If you set the signals to the left side (either road vehicles on left side, or not using "signalsontrafficside"), they should be british signals.

What are you settings for "signalsontrafficside" and the actual traffic side? Does this get fixed when you load the game?

These are my switches/settings:

signalsontrafficside on
Game options: Road vehicles drive on left

When I load the game, it's still the white line

The graphics stuff you around if the veichle has been sold. This sometimes happens to me, and it shows a new competitor arriving at station. It's a TTD but I think, cause I have noticed it when not using the patch also.

Ya, I got the same 'problem'. Although, in Holland we drive on the right side, so it won't bother me too much :P

Patch 1.9.1 Alpha 36

Hmm, I found something strange when trying to play on Desert.
If I have 'loadallgraphics on' and in the newgrfw file the tempset loaded then I can't build any engines in the desert setting. Kinda weird.

And just 2 questions:
1. Is it true that you can't build trains when u start in 1930?
2. Temp has 3 trains at the beginning in 1950, desert only 1, and arctic 2?

to 1: yes, there aren´t any trains in 1930. In temperate the first one is about 1933 ( + one or two random years, I don´t know exactly), in artic in the year 1944 ( + random) and in dessert in year 1945 ( + random)

to 2: Temp has 3 trains, and I think arctic and dessert have both only one. But I only sure for temperate.

When starting a new game in the year 1930 this could be the reason for not having any available engines. (this as an answer to your first question.)

I remember even a game, started in 1930, where at least NO trains, street vehicles or ships where available. I had only one plane. This could be a good cause for starting later. Staring at the country for one or two years doesn´t satisfy me much...

loadallgraphics is (already!) obsolete turn it off!

Don't do that then...

It's not weird, it's the whole point of "loadallgraphics on". Load all graphics, even if they're for the wrong climate.
Lilman424 wrote:loadallgraphics is (already!) obsolete turn it off!
It's not obsolete, what made you think that? In fact, it will become more important even in the next alpha version.

The following line made us believe that loadallgraphics was becoming obsolete. Sorry if we misunderstood this.
Patchman wrote:The game will automatically activate the right entries depending on the current climate. This doesn't work, however, if you have "loadallgraphics on", in which case the files will be loaded even for the wrong climate. This means that you should make sure "loadallgraphics" is turned off, unless you have a specific reason to use it.

so to the Patchman ... what is the reason for example ....

Basically, if you want to manage your newgrf.txt manually, you use it. That means that you need to make sure that you load the right graphics for the right climate etc.

However, I'm probably going to change how it works for the next alpha. We'll see...

THose semaphores won't still come. I don't know, is there some kind of a switch for that?

I changed everything and i have my signalw.grf in my grf directories. Still... :(
