Thanks for the replies! I *could* force them to use my route, but I was mostly just hoping that it would be the faster route because it allowed them to speed up between slopes. Guess not! Well it saves me the trouble of timing the routes myself, now I know if they choose the route, it's probably the best. Maybe when I get faster vehicles the numbers will change in my favor...
