They wouldn't even need to befriend us :-D Everyone is free to use the template makefile (or any other) which we wrote provided they adhere to the terms of usage as stated in GPL v2 (or newer). I will help setting it up, if desired.

This becomes a right pain in the arse on your side. It can be done (Zephyris did it), but it's extra work. If you go that route, the openttdcoop makefile system would be very helpful to you...for that you'd need to befriend planetmaker and Ammler
Just a little correction... It depends what you want. Refit of articulated vehicles is not working as supposed in TTDP, if you refit it to different characteristics. You can't make parts of vehicle too short. You can't put too much parts in vehicle. If you don't need to do those, you can make one set for both platforms. But if you need, you can make simplier set or two different versions. All is on you.

All of those things are true, but unless something changed, TTDPatch still has a crippling shortage of road vehicle IDs...a decent set needs plenty of IDs, unless trucks are eliminated. Of course this is just my OpenTTD-biased opinion :)

Three trucks should be enough for TTDPatch users wanting to play with an extensive bus set. As long as the bus set provides those trucks it shouldn't make the game less playable. Less fun on the truck side, but not less playable...

I looked at the graphics in the set without reading the thread, and my instant thought was "anti-aliasing" - although I think you've discounted it, which is a shame, as I like the idea of a UK bus set - I can't see it working with garish colours and solid blocks though - especially not with bus liveries.

It was shrugged off, the liveries i'm doing will definately be anti - aliased.

I'm glad to hear this, i hope this turns out be an excellent set. Can we see an example of one of your anti-aliased buses?

...Double Post... (glares at self)
Edit: (from IRC) Redirect_Left: welshdragon: thats triple post. (d'oh!)

Ok, i'm late giving my dog her dinner because of this (dog glares at him), all the sprites that are in this thread are still valid, as is the tracking table and website but the forums are now here. Please register and then post a message here. There's not much to show yet but I hope that they will grow (and stop this topic going into page 10001 or something).

If you are Jolteon and are still arguing to orudge about deleting everything up to here then shush, it's needed!

Don't know what it is about the British sets and the deposing of leaders in a coup. Still, all for it if it gets the progress needed going again.

We really need graphics artistes to bring the set to life, have a look at lws1984's Tracking Table on page 3 (which i'm copying over) and start drawing! also thanks to Ammler for allowing us use of the openttdcoop developer's zone, register there and then drop me a PM on here so I can add you to the set.

I drew this once and I might even be able to dig some sprites out if you are interested.

Edit: As an aside we could throw the old tram set in which is essentially all drawn, just lacks code.

Can you stick the stuff up on the devzone (or PM it to me)? and yeah, we can make the trams look like the NET, Supertram and Metrolink
Cheers Gavin.
