I have tried to update the file with stations, and I get this message:

File failed file extension check.

Are you sure the file's got the correct file extension, and are you getting this error with other files of the same type?

Jupix: To save both bandwidth/space and peoples time, could you add a section (Another category) to upload .bat's to for using with PNGcodec. If we name the .bats by there contents ("0000-0300;0452-0460.bat" for example) it should be nice and easy to find things, and use, because of the alphabetical listing. Only minor issue is that some sprites have many versions and the alignment may vary.

Okay, there's now a batch script category under miscellaneous, and a batch script entry type, and the repo now accepts .bats. I'm not sure the alignment difference issue is all that big of an issue to be honest, as long as graphics entry notes are updated with the name of their bat files, and their respective sprite #s.

No problem - the code's been designed to be flexible in this sort of way.

New version is out with the shared ownership feature. It required a bit more work than I anticipated, with the LOC growing 33 %. Anyway, it hasn't been tested much so there may be flukes for the first few days, let me know if you find any.

* New feature: it is now possible for an author to share ownership of an entry with other accounts.
* New feature: it is now possible to move files around between categories.
* Change: "transfer ownership" moved to a step behind a link.
* Change: repo will now refuse all files with any other characters than A-Z, 0-9, or ,.-_()# in their filename.
* Bugfix: "transfer ownership" list of possible recipients no longer lists inactive accounts.
* Bugfix: file lists no longer display "Download this file" when user hovers above the file title link.
* Bugfix: in a somewhat optimistic mentality, activity log entries for file revisions were changed from masculine grammar ("updated his file") to a gender-neutral form.

Love it.

Great new features.

I immediately shared one zip I uploaded with maquinista, because it features a snow sprite by him.

Jupix: thanks a lot for your work on this. As you have probably picked up I was pretty keen on the sharing idea. If there are files in the repo which I made and people have uploaded, if they could share them with me so I can update that would be ideal!

* Bugfix: screenshots, name of which was over 30 characters in length, no longer fail to show.

I can also do this and under these circumstances I think it would be acceptable for me to do so. If you'll provide me with a list of all the files you want to control, I'll take care of it.

Thanks again, I've now change the rail and road files so that there are no duplicates.

Because some sets are derived from early road/rail sets for other climates, and aren't as completed I've split them up. This does mean that there are now 3 files in the With Gridline sets. For instance, the Roads, Roads Tunnels, and then the Roads+Tunnels in the none temperate sets. All are linked to from the wiki.

I think if these are clumped and linked from the wiki they should be files with some means of auto-updating, or informing that they are outdated upon those any 1 of those 3 files changing.

They will gradually find there way together, but only when they reach the same stages of completion. If however a means of making 'Big tars' can be made so it's no additional effort keeping the files split then I'll just leave them so.

There are more duplicates to sort, and I'll do that if this is is agreed as an adequate way of getting around the issues listed around this section of the forum.

maybe some comment feature for the files?

btw i dont recall if it was mentioned before but the Bridges TAR http://jupix.info/openttd/gfxdev-repo/i ... file&id=39 contains power plants parts.

I don't want it to become a competing dev forum, so no discussion feature.

you are right, how about an email option then?

at the moment if there is a problem with one of the uploads you can only post it here and hope the owner notice it.
adding an email option that will send an email to the forum (just like the registration does) with the comment and the link to the page can be useful, no?

These power plants shouldn't be in this file. I will delete them in the next release.

neob: I don't think it's necessary for the repository to take care of writing and sending an email. A link to users form profile could be linked to from the repository profile, then people can use the forum for PM's, but can be linked here for ease.
