I know some of you will say turn them off but:
will be possible to not use this switch (altered prices) for AI, it will mess him, AI should use standard prices

it depends how AI is building, is it checking how much money will spend on building and for train or not ?? if not it will build track but no money left for train

It already does that. Most of the time they have build track, buy 3 or 5 wagons and don't have money for tha train.

I know, it happen sometimes, but if we apply this feature for AI it will happen nearly all the time then

But the Patch doesn't change the trackbuild costs in the past...
The cht: track is very unlikely to be work properly, maybe I will simply use always the cost of the last tracktype, because you have to employ some people to do your normal manual convert work :D

You would get something back for scrapping electrification, because scrap copper is valuable, and the scrap steel is worth something too.

I'd say just leave the refund algorithm alone and see how it works.

As far as messing up the AI, it seems like the AI is so irreparably stupid anyway there's not much that can be done to help it.

i agree about the AI, i dont think CS ever imagined this game would be played now. The AI isnt designed for these things, neither does it have the knowledge to build 2 track systems. IMHO the only way to smartten the AI A LOT is to write a newgame, or rewrite the old one (which from what i gathered is impossible)
