Ok, I have amended the sprites a little. Im not entirely happy with the loco (As I havent really had much practice at steam locos yet) so if anyone wants to improve on it, feel free. Anyway, here you go Mark....

Well, they use the diesels first but in the busy periods they will bring out the steamers too!

And I was surprised to read on their website that they have Diesel Electric railcars too!
Anyway, its not so great but its something to get started with. Im glad you are happy with it.

Ok, this might not sound good, but in 12 days, i'm moving house, which means i will not have unlimited internet access for a while, however i would like it if someone could 'hold the fort' for me, because i'm not sure of North Yorkshire County Council's policy on visiting forums, and whether they'll let me visit here, so anybody willing to take over, effective as of a week today?
If nobody applies, i shall do my best to monitor the topic and provide any support

Dude, you are overestimating the speed of this place. Nothing will happen in 12 days that you can't catch up on once your back. Don't stress. I'm sure we'll all keep a community eye on it until you get back.
Just chill....

I'm chilled, it might be longer than 12 days, but hey, i can always rely on you guys to look after it!

Just to say all's well with my laptop now, but i still haven't moved, that could be anytime soon...
I'll draw a merseyrail unit this weekend whilst at my gran's (as she has a scanner i might hand draw it then scan it in and touch it up!)
by the way, if you said yes to the poll, and you have IRC: come to channel #welshdragon every night, i'll teach you that way.
If not, i'll start work on a word document soon

I would recommend that you just draw from scratch. It will look crap if you try to copy/paste/scan etc. With pixel art, its about making it 'look' right rather than it actually using the right colours etc. What I mean is that in places you might not be able to draw 3 thin lines of blue, white, red on a grey loco BUT if you use a pink colour next to a blue line you can fool the eye to think its a red/white/blue set of lines. That is something that you wont be able to mimic with a scan. It might be a long way to do it but it really is best to just start from scratch and experiment. Use Purno's tutorials too. They will also provide a template for sizes that you can use as a basis. And other help you need, just ask. There are loads of people here who can advise you.

Has anybody had any problems when trying to run the scenario from my download? mine's no longer working
edit: found source of problem, all in hand now
edit2: no need for a merseyrail unit, unless anybody wants one, class 101's and 158's were used on the lines...

Ok so i'm now on vista, and i have bags of memory to boot, and i wondered, if the new year would herald some light on this project...
...Oh, forgot to mention, i've got ttpatch working so i can play my masterpiece (dances)...
...and, in the new year, me and my flatmate are getting broadband, hopefully BT won't mess us around too much this time, as they disconnected my old line, and gave me a brand new one (after a month0
