Same here.. 0.4.8-RC1 doesn't allow me to produce any goods at a Steel Factory in the attached game (Two steel factories for that matter..)
This is a known bug that has has been reported many times, look here, it has now been fixed, here.
The foundations graphics problem is another know bug with 0.4.8 RC1. This one also been fixed here, we just need to wait for RC2.

Understeer is when you hit the wall with the front of the car. Oversteer is when you hit the wall with the rear of the car. Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall. Torque is how far you take the wall with you. Spoilers and bodykits are how much of the wall you take with you. Rollcages and windownets are how much of a mess you leave on the wall.
The info is enough (read again, there is info).
The name of the save game says "*_nighlty.sav". If works with the "latest" nightly. Doesn't matter which version.

Unless the latest nightly is a different version to yours, and fixes your bug. We could then waste hours trying to replicate your bug, not knowing its already sorted.
Just tell us what it says on the main screen; OpenTTD r????.
The bug "works" with all the recent nighlies I tried (more than 15 "r"s).
If the bug is fixed i would guess that there would be something written in the nighlies page or at least someone would leave a feedback on the bugtracker.
Anyway, I added the release version already(5600).
