Sorry, spaceman-spiff, but I thought it only fair to warn 'the new guy' of the things he should expect from this forum. It's a sense of entitlement from the users ("if we don't receive, we just take it cause we have a right, blah blah blah") of *this* forum, and complete moderator indifference to it (-- as opposed to the dilligence showed when it comes to this game's absentee landlord Atari's rights towards the executable. Evidenced whenever some poor schmoe suggests altering the executable and the consequent dogpiling on aforementioned poor schmoe --).
Yes, I'm a big meanie for bringing this up again, but a bit of introspection on your part of why you never properly addressed it, wouldn't harm you.
And, yes, it's bygones for me too. But the fact that you felt it necessary to insert that comment leaves me to think it's not completely bygones for you.
Anyway, carry on and have fun playing Locomotion. Seriously.

That's why this is not and will never be my main forum. It's
http://www.locomotion-fanpage.net .

Well said.

As an outsider (I read about the stories that had happened) I think I can talk about this objectively. I think it's your right to talk about this as long as you want to, bygone or not. No one else may decide when this "bygone" starts.

@scrat
Thank you for the work you and Oppie did for Locomotion in the early days. Without your tools and models I would have never had the inspiration to do my own mods.
Bygones are supposed to be bygones, but we should also learn from them and make sure they don't happen again.
Let's go back to Locomotion now and have fun.

I hpoe I'am not the "new guy" that should warned not to expect things from the fourm.
Banjobeni stated that he updated the VC and offered it to anyone who sent him a PM with their msn or yahoo messenger, so I did,
I just asked him if he was able to fix the darkside problem, as I just recived permission to convert a bunch of MSTS trains, and wanted to release them in the best quailty that I could.
other people have fixed the darkside problem using other programs, but they have never shared the way to do this.
these fourms should be for sharing all the info and things that we learn while we tinker with lomo.

I guess he meant me with that.
busman wrote:Banjobeni stated that he updated the VC and offered it to anyone who sent him a PM with their msn or yahoo messenger, so I did,
Wrong. I didn't update VC but a part of it called MSTS2Locomotion.
busman wrote:I just asked him if he was able to fix the darkside problem, as I just recived permission to convert a bunch of MSTS trains, and wanted to release them in the best quailty that I could.
I didn't really fix the "darkside problem" as you call it. It's just a workaround.
busman wrote:these fourms should be for sharing all the info and things that we learn while we tinker with lomo.
I just want to say that I won't do any support here concerning the new MSTS2Locomotion 1.00 Beta or any future releases of it. The same applies to a (not yet existing) new VC.
I only do support on
http://www.locomotion-fanpage.net (which is german and not english).

Well, the first of our board rules says:
Die Umgangssprache in diesem Forum ist Deutsch! Beiträge welche nicht in Deutsch geschrieben werden, werden umgehend gelöscht.
Translated that means about: The language in this forum is German. Any post not written in German will be deleted instantly.
I don't care about reading English in the forum, but I won't answer in English there.

Well, i cant realy read German, but it looks a lot like the Dutch language so that shouldnt be a problem
It to bad that a widely used program only has a German support site. (Hopefully the program stays english

) but i cant change that so i need to life with that.

I dont care

Banjobeni - I have just picked up some of the messages coming my way from you, but alas I have not gone near Locomotion for a long while or kept any records of what I did so I can't really help you.
Fortunately though it looks like you have it all under control anyway, so good luck with it and I look forward to seeing what you achieve with it.
And thanks to Scrat for keeping his promise of releasing the rest of the code.
I forsee interesting times ahead.

need a little help with the new MSTS2LOCOMOTION, it makes 68 sprites when you start, then i guess you have to run it again to get the next 68 sprites (for a total of 136) what I need help with is, what are the settings for the second set of sprites, the first time I tried to convert a msts model everything worked great until i checked it out in the sec editor in the game, insted of spining around, it was fliping around, any help would be great thanks
ps the workaround to fix the shadow is great
Posted: 24 Jul 2006 22:35
by Banjobeni
Well, if you want to get 136 sprites you need to choose the option 'locomotive'.
Posted: 24 Jul 2006 22:54
by busman
i have it set on locomotive and i still only get 68 sprites
OPPS I downloaded a version 2.00 BETA and it for some reason only does 68 sprites no matter what setting I use , I just went over to locomotion fanpage and downloaded version 1.01 beta and that one works great.
thanks for another great add-on to lomo

You probably have an old Version. I'll email you an updated one.

It's possible to create sprites for road vehicles with the MSTS2Locomotion?
If the answer is yes, What sprites I must use?

The angles for road vehicles are not yet implemented.
