Well I have no idea why it doesn't work, so I we can move busstops back into the impossible list...
TTDPatch dev in retirement ... Search a grf, try Grf Crawler 0.9 - now with even faster details view and new features...

well I found some busy code that seems to be fired, makeing a station busy after all. Well now I need it patch right, because a normal bus stop without that code makes a total crash of TTD...

Exactly ... make the code work the way you want it to work and when you're done we can celebrate with a "Decorate the bus stop" party. :D I already have some ideas and suggestions, but they need a drive through bus stop that works first. Go for it! I need a party and so do my bus drivers. :)

Awful quiet over here last couple of days. I hope its because eis_os is down in his lab cooking up a faite accomplie to spring on us. :)

Yesterday there was a test integration with alpha 45, a bug fixed in canals...

Some people already test it a bit (resulting in bugfix of canals)

It's good to now that the project has not been completely abandond.

Hi,

Don't see the problem with them stopping everywhere... the do so as well in real life. They don't completely reload on all though...
Hmm. Dunno. i think I could life with it if the thing is happening fast and doesnt create traffic jams.

Not a problem for city buses as that is somewhat realistic but could be an issue for intercity busses which usually stop at bus terminals rather than roadside bus stops.
Is the solution in modifying the code that controls bus behaviour and perhaps tweeking it so that there are two classes of busses ... one that uses stops and another (some of George's long busses ?) that uses terminals? This would be similar to airplanes and helicopters ... how does the code prevent an airplane from using a heliport?

I have already a not very much tested code so a bus stops only if the current order says goto to it...

I think its ok so...

a feature in the vehicle orders i am more missig is a feature where the vehicle stops and only load cargo, but doesn't unload cargo
(so a bus drive trough the city and loads the passengers and brings them to the station)

Eine Art "Zuladen"-Anweisung ;)

That's an interesting idea actually. Have the intercity bus go around to several stations in a small city collecting passengers until it's full, then go a further distance to another city. More money.
