the load 90% means it will sit in the station loading up and only leave if it has ATLEAST 90% cargo right? meaning, it can have anywhere between 90% and 100% cargo? because thats what i'm sure its suposed to do.
unload to 40% sounds good too.

Right
if you want exact 90% load use the exact button (only works if anything between 0% and 100% is selected)

I thought openttd already had that option? Configure patches -> stations -> #2: leave station if any cargo is full, even if full load

Yeah but that is a global option, but that one is selectable about the order system.

Do you mean you can set it individually for each order?

Its a very good idea actually! Have planes or busses not enter an airport/busstop when all loading bays are full. (Well, I hope this was his original idea. If it was not, well, it would be a good idea anyways)

I would not like this as a passenger... but then.. we've got no destinations yet

Yeah and do what instead of driving into the station? Driving around in the world history without destination? Drive into a (not existing?) Depot? That's the question that i ask myself.

Currently OpenTTD does not support through sidings. Maybe something to code too, but not in this patch IMO.

i tihnk its for a vehicle with like 40 orders, if they can't get into a station, instead of sitting around and waiting, it simply skips that station and moves onto the next.

new version:
I added min and max waiting times at station and leave if X vehicles are loading at station.
I also fixed some bugs reported in the miniIN thread.

Wow thanks a lot for the min/max waiting times. I'll sure check it out when I get some free time. That should fix my traffic problems.

Got an idea, look at the image.
Train was going to station, noticed from the pre-signals "hey, station is full", then skips the station and goes to the checkpoint instead (optional).
Can this be possible?

Sure, but that has nothing to do with the orders. That has more to do with the signals. But if you only build a normal track beside the station the train drives that way, but he wants to reach the station, so he drives in a loop. But i have no real idea how to tell a train that he drives beside a full station and skip that order.

Just make the waypoint part of the station.
The train tells himself: Hey, I can go to the Pityburg
station, I'll go there.
Or it tells himself: Hey, I cannot reach the Pityburg
station, while Pityburg
waypoint is accessible. I'll go to the waypoint "platform".
Then it tells himself: Okay, I've got to Pityburg. What's the next order?

Use the MiniIN, it has this patch (and many others) included. Look at richk67’s sig. (about 4 posts up) for the download link.
