krtaylor , if you feel absolute necessity to have so grandiose descriptions, yeat so many pictures, do it like this.

General Description:My game of BR Miniset, most of the railway was aquired from a computer.

Picture 1 Description:As usual, the area around Falkirk Factory is very busy, both trucks, and trains visit the area frequently. The two bypass lines were only added recently so traffic would be smoother for express, and valuables trains that don't stop at the station.
Picture 2 Description:The Edinburgh Station entrence, nor the station has changed a bit since aquirance of the railway, and behind the station you see the Steam Train Museum. The bank was constructed only 4 years ago. You also see the new power plant, wich would need to be served, but the company is only intrested in expanding existing services for now as money is strapped tight after renewal of equipment.
Picture 3 Description:Station area of Glasgow, you don't really see all the traffic, usually the station entrence, exit, and the station are filled with trains, but in this situtation the traffic has just started to disperse. You barely see the bank. Some crazy company got the idea to do a little of landscaping..

That way, you can have your grandiose descriptions, but 3 pictures in each post.

Why are you so keen to get him to attach three pics per post?

I actually like it the way he does it. Its much handier to keep the overview. I was thinking of doing it the same way.

I think I like the way I do it, and I'll continue to do it that way. Anyone else who posts, can choose to do it however they wish. If the mods have a problem, they can certainly tell me and then I'll adjust. If you don't like my story, well, you do not have to read it.

No complaints here - it's not the method used, it's the piccies and the descriptions that matter.

Besides, Krtaylor would be the *last* member I would accuse of postcount enhancing.

But thats OT, so lets get back to the drool-fest, shall we?

Nice pics Akalamanaia - the BR Miniset looks really nice!

Four way junctions

Hi All.
Have been visiting the forums for a long time. And playing TTD + Patch for a long time.
Here I have a couple of a different type of four-way junctions, which I thought of during a really boring lecture. Slight variations are possible - the bridges can be replaced!!!. The first one can handle slightly more traffic - Crossing Tunnels graciously used.

Both of these are based on how real flyovers in interstates are modelled.

Tip:use png instead of jpg, better quality.

I know that I have to convert to PNG - thats what I first converted to, using IrfanView. However the sizes it gave, even for the best compression was > 600 Kb. So I did not know what to do - so converted to JPEG

well i use paint shop pro to save the png so the compression is quite good.

One just has to admire the new version of the USSet.
Combined with .cooperative on, this makes great gameplay.

here are a few shots using the new USset and the miscmod.
Krtaylor, feel free to take them for you homepage if you like.

Some local councils have repeatately asked to provide food to them. However, we haven't responded to them most of the time, as we were busy with other projects and didn't think it would be worth it. So those councils have all together founded a new company, called Cochambamba International. However, as they are not having their own network, they have asked to run their trains on mine.
All the court battles didn't help, in the end I had to let them run on my tracks
I even had to build the missing rail-link to one of the cities.
No they are adding to my already congested tracks.

the above mentioned food train again, nearing its destination. It is just clearing of the newly built section, built especially for this train.

It's just passing the little village of Barinas, also one of the councils involved in Cochabamba International. They will probabely be next on the list :?

I hope I this will be a one of a kind operation from my competitors. Let's wait and see.

A new food factory has been founded near the village of Potosi, to supply the ever more demanding local villages.
This time, we were quick in providing the services ourselfs.
In the background, you can just see a brand new Rubber-train passing bye.

My hopes didn't fullfill. As I was not able to provide enough capacity to the increased Oil-production, Cochabamba International stepped in once again. Bye now, I was able to aquire 75% of their shares, so atleast I will have some controll over what is happening.

My train is has just pulled into the station besides the similar one one the right platform. Luckily, production of oil is high enough and both trains are fully loaded within a couple of hours.

OK, last one for now.

A newly founded Circus has asked for an offer to transport their equipment from town to town. Once again, my offer was too high and Cochabamba International got it in the end. Those fellars are just all over the place. If I could only charge them something for using my tracks all the time, but the court has ruled that out. Something about monopoly and too powerfull etc. :?
So once again, a pair of F7s has been deployed and now the Circus will pay a visit to the city of Cata in the next few days.

The Irish's pictures of USSet in tropical inspired me to start a new game of USSet..

Picture 1 Describtion:In This picture you see a oil loading platform, and 2 platforms for loading rubber, and water, the oil loading platform is the newest, as you see Iquitos Transport likes to use limestone platforms. At the moment all the trains are not loading at the platforms, their probably on their way to the platforms, or on their way to unload at a other destination..
Picture 2 Describtion:You see the previusly showed oil loading platform in the corner of the picture, but you also see a platform for unloading water, wich is in high value around this corner of the world. You also see another oil train line going past the water unloading platform.
Picture 3 Describtion:In this picture you see a junction not far from the water unloading platform, traffic in this section is quite heavy, and most of the time the junction is jammed quite full.

Picture 4 Describtion:In this picture you see a loading platform for Maize, and water not far from the junction..you also see a oil loading platform, and a water unloading platform.
Picture 5 Describtion:In this picture, you see the centerpoint of the oil operations of Iquitos Transport, all the oil transported by the company is unloaded here..as you see the company only uses Mikado's for every service, expect 1 short oil line it uses a Consolidation.

ouch, those water plant things loook a bit out of place, the style isn't very TTD, they have no clear edge to them (maybe a fence or something) and the perspective is decidedly dodgey!
