For the 747-400 - In the pointing-down diagonals, is the very lowest corner pixel filled with the plane color, or the background color? I can't easily tell, even with the pink background. I think that one pixel should have the background color, because otherwise the plane's nose will be TOO pointy. Otherwise it's great!

ok, here is the next version. I'm not too sure, without that corner pixel it begins to look too rounded again.

I see your point about that one pixel. But I think I know what the problem is. The whole nose, for no apparent reason, is a single color, this flat blue-grey. It loses all texture. If you can use the blues in the rest of the plane to moderate that color, maybe make just the very point of the nose the grey, it'll hint at the shape more accurately, even though we can't get it exactly right because of the pixels. Kind of like the changes you made with the second-deck windows.

I don't think I can do whole graphics anymore, it's too time consuming. But I can both start rough designs and tune up older ones, so I think I'll stick with that.

We'll be glad to take whatever you're able to do, CyberBoy. These tag-team efforts where multiple people "clean up" a plane, seem to work pretty well.

I too think the group creation work is fairly good, someone makes the base, then people with their different skills and ideas add their bit to the drawing and you get the best of a combined effort.

Anyway, here is the next trial, what about this one?

I'm inclined to say that's as good as we can get it, at least till we see it in the game.

hi plane set team,

i made a base for BAe146-100. i'm not sure if it fits to other planes in the set, but use it if you like, or of course you can use it for another aircraft if there's one that looks like it.

i left it white so that someone could paint in appropriate livery. (and i forgot to open windows...) also, the horizontal and the diagonals have to be flipped and properly reshaded to have 8 complete lot. (i'm lazy sorry...)

cheers

Another new plane.

What I have done so far of the Shorts 330. (I though that that it would be easy, but it isn't

the far wings on that look 2d, although that could just be because of the white background.

Looks pretty good. The centermost sprite still has the blue tail rather than the striped tail of the other views. Otherwise, I think it's coming along very well!

Hey guys, just wondering: will the Airbus A380 be included in this set?

edit: nm, I found my answer on the planeset site.

Fixed the A300.
And I think it's in the wrong colors, because Neopaint has an auto-load color thing, it should have loaded the TTD template.

Not my best work, but it'll do.

I have to say, your shading is VERY good. Let me know when the colors are fixed, and I'll put it in the table.

Really?
I just extract a random color in the wings and use that to draw.
I'm amazed.....

Well, it's a spectacularly effective technique. When you're done with the A300, maybe you should pick up some of the other ones that have had preliminary versions posted for someone else to finish, which are up a couple of posts.
