Probably by reading the
Manual.

Hi AvAtAr,
This is the normal steam as everybody has.
The only thing is that he has tweaked the switches a bit, so there is more steam generated and it stays for longer on screen. You can do that with the Patch.
I think it is the moresteam switch and it has two parameters... Try to check the Wiki-pages.

The patch allows you to add platforms next to each other, so just make sure all platforms are the same length and build 2+2+2... etc.

Excellent pictures from everyone, as usual. I won't name names because they were all brilliant, but I do like to see the US Set being used well! (The DB Set XL is a brilliant set too, of course.)
Dan, you should have reported those horrible alignment errors to me - they look awful and I've fixed them now.

Alignment errors... thought I did...

Which ones? I'd reported the PA-1 horizontal problem, but didn't see any others.

by DanMacK
Well, I need to tweak the PA's a bit, and I'm working on that now.

The D&RGW PA-1 with a B-unit behind in the diagonal view looked dreadful and the S2 Northern was right up with its coaches, closer than it should have been. Anyway, it's fixed now, so don't worry.
Back on topic, here we have a rather overloaded oil station, where many trains load up for a cross-map journey to the only oil refinery. There are 16 trains on this route, but it seems like we could do with more, due to the massive increase in production at some of the oil rigs around here.
On the fourth platform, another train brings oil in from rigs further-afield.

Well, I'm working on the alignment issues with the PA's, as well as some detail issues.

I'm taking a break from the heavy haul of "Lumber Jack" and testing out my latest map. It's one that's been in-progress for awhile and was actually inspired after finding
this page on the Bermuda Railway. I like maps with A LOT of water and A LOT of challenges

This one is no exception. "Archipelago" is located somewhere in the Caribbean with a few touches of Polynesia and the South Pacific islands.
The USSet or the Tropic set works well here, but I can tell you you won't be using those Big Boys or DD40AX's
Below are pictures from a trip that was taken around the Golden Islands Archipelago in 1940. It chronicles the journey from the mainland to the famous beaches at Cocobamba. Air service on the islands is limited to Golden Harbour and Callao. Several more routes are being looked into however. Air travel is still somewhat in its infancy, but we'll have to be content with road, sea and rail for most of our journey
Enjoy.

Still more

Hopefully the journey becomes quicker in the next few years

More... we're getting there

This island is the "South Pacific" part of the map, as I'm not sure if there are any volcanic islands in the Caribbean

That's why I'm a bit vague as to the location of the Archipelago.

We're almost at our destination

Last shots for now, "Archipelago" will soon be posted in the "Saved Games" thread.
