I've never heard of Gevos before, but they look good.
I wonder if you guys have abandoned train whistles/running sounds? I've seen some .wav files posted here, but nothing apparently was done with them, and I've also seen some posts arguing against putting running sounds in although the recent UK Renewal set's running sounds proved more than tolerable.

Those look great, ISA! I don't know what they are though. DanMacK, can you advise?
Concerning running sounds, I don't really know having never tried. I think the wav files were posted after Oracle left for university. We'd just have to see if he thought they were worth coding when he comes back.

Here's P&B indexed to the TTD pallette without the dithering problems. It only needs a few highlights and shadows corrected and some TTD style textures applied to the ground/large flat planes such as the roof. I need to draw in the end of the shed, the clock face, a copper roof detail on the ridge of the station building roof, and the weathervane for each view as well. I put a scale comparison mockup on the previous page a little earlier as well. The terminal was actually larger than Boston's still unfinished Cathedral (which still has the same footprint as Westminster Abbey no less).
The side platform behind the small lowrise section was similar to the existing red wooden covered platform from the USset so I'm probably going to modify those spirtes to work with this station and regular low level concrete platforms should work nicely in the interior of the shed. I could slide the side doors open for an interior view, but it might be more trouble that its worth.
I know you've all been waiting for me to finish South Station, but I think I can at least get this station ready for coding relatively quickly, vs having to draw the other views of South Station by hand. I'd rather get something playable ready for people to use as soon as possible.

Yes cheaper to operate and smaller polution...(EPA's* locomotive emissions standards that took effect in 2005)
As I can see here, there is ES60ACs too.
1. The "hood" where the engine is, seems wider than it should be.
2. No real loco is all the exact same color. I mean, it may be painted in the same color, but in normal light there are random changes of light and dark patterns. So you need to "randomize" the areas with slightly different shades. It'll make it look more 3d and realistic. Take a look at some of the existing train sprites.
3. You can't mirror the two sides. This is a common mistake. But there is a sun in TTD - it's in the upper right hand corner. So the shadows cast differently for the different angles.

By the way, why was the Berkshire removed from the Sub-Arctic? The Berkshire mountains do look like the limits of the Temperate climate and remember that this is sub-Arctic, not the actual Arctic, which you only really see in Alaska.
