Born Acorn, looking good but...

The tankl ontop of a edestal... First, it seems to be higher whilst being lifted then when it is siting on the top, and also the pedestals it sits on (on the 2 last) semms to be buildt as the crane is lifting it. That seems pretty odd :/

The Oil-Fired Power Station is now implemented and for the most part working - there are still a few things that need doing, such as implementing the building animation (which I have from Born Acorn, so just need to GRFise the sprites and alter the code) or perhaps adding smoke to the chimneys or sparks from the electric stuff. The desalination plant seems to work quite well.

Very Very nice :D That Oil Power Plant is very cool ;)

But I still don't know, the Desal Plant looks a bit off, like there's something not right with it... like it doesn't fit into the game :?

So it's not just me? I think it needs some color.
To get a good answer, ask a Smart Question. Similarly, if you want a bug fixed, write a Useful Bug Report. No TTDPatch crashlog? Then follow directions.

I don't like the railway track inside the oil plant. It doesn't fit in with the rest of the industries already in the game.

Otherwise, it looks terrific.

The railway could actually be nice if you could use it yourself, maybe add some sort of station inside, so the trains can enter and unload. I don't know if this is possible, but it would be fun if it was :)

Yeah Ive already removed it and replaced it with lots o electriccy stuff.

Also the primary colour of the Water tower is white as its the 'colour' of water containers. So I shall change the building to brick colour, since pretty much everything else in the game is brick.

Great! I'm just wondering why there is no fire nor smoke...

Anyway, when are you planning to relase it? Next nightly?

there aren't any smoke because it's not producing anything, it's just in stand-by

and why do you want the fire to be there? Most often powerplants burn EVERYTHING under the boilers, not on top of the chimney. Flares are only used to get rid of gas in oil production. If they aren't used, the pipes might explode due to high pressure

Orudge is coding it so it does produce smoke like the Coal Power plant, which has been renamed to Coal-Fired Power Plant to avoid confusion between the two.

A patch and binaries should be released when the both are fully working with no probs, and then its up to all the other factors, (such as translations etc) before merging.

The Oil-fired power plant looks very good, but I would say that the yellow-red pipe (in lower left corner, from oil tanks) should not lead to transformer, but to the buildings on the right, where ,I think, turbine and generator is.

Yes, there will be smoke of some sort. I'll likely release a binary next weekend (it's annoying not being able to work on OpenTTD during the week). :)
